Group One winning jockey Brad Rawiller hopes to be back in the saddle and riding as early as next week after he broke his collarbone and punctured his lung in a fall last month.
The former Victorian jockey made the move to Perth last year to reinvigorate his riding career and after a promising start his good run of form came to a halt after suffering a bad fall at Bunbury where he cracked his ribs and punctured his lung.
βI am optimistic,β Rawiller explained.
βI go back to see the doctor next Tuesday and I hope to be riding trackwork on Wednesday.
βWhen it happened they told me it would be a minimum two months out so I am tracking ahead of schedule.β
Rawiller had a dream start to his WA riding career after winning aboard Elite Street in theΒ Group One Winterbottom Stakes.
