Buckhurst is set to back-up in the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley
International raider Buckhurst who is owned by Lloyd Williams will back-up in Saturday’s Cox Plate after finishing seventh in the Caulfield Cup.
Buckhurst who sat on the speed in the Caulfield Cup and stuck on well to finish seventh in the $5m event is set to back-up in the WFA Cox Plate on Saturday at Moonee Valley.
Williams confirmed the news on Sunday and with a rating of 114 should gain a start in the Cox Plate field which will be announced on Tuesday.
Buckhust is currently $67 in Cox Plate odds with online bookmaker Sportsbet with jockey Jamie Kah booked to ride.
