The Melbourne Cup has suffered another casualty with another exciting International ruled out of the race.
Irish Derby winner Santiago has been ruled out of the 2020 Melbourne Cup with trainer Aidan O’Brien notifying stewards this morning the horse will instead head for a break but no other reason has been given.
Santiago was the third favourite in Sportsbet’s Melbourne Cup markets at $10 behind stablemate Tiger Moth and Russian Camelot.
