After the unveiling of the barrier draw on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Santa Ana Lane has shortened as favourite from $4.60 to $4.40 for Saturday’s TAB Everest at Royal Randwick.
Santa Ana Lane, TAB’s representative for the world’s richest race on turf, finished second to Sunlight in the Gilgai Stakes at Flemington on October 5 and will be starting from barrier two.
Pierata has tightened from $5 to $4.80 after barrier one was unveiled for the last-start winner of The Shorts at Royal Randwick on September 21.
Arcadia Queen – who will be coming out of barrier three – is on the third line of betting at TAB as a $5.50 chance and was victorious in the Theo Marks Stakes at Rosehill Gardens on September 14.
Two-time winner Redzel remains $9.50 after barrier seven was unveiled, which is the widest barrier for Redzel in The Everest after winning from barrier four in 2017 and barrier one last year.
Three-year-old colt Yes Yes Yes, runner-up to Bivouac in the Golden Rose at Rosehill Gardens on September 28, is the best of the other gallopers at $11.
