Race 1: #4 Santana
From the Lee Freedman yard this 3yo was well backed at Sandown last start and ran well up in grade behind Gilded Spur. The step up in trip suits and look for this fellow over the Sydney carnival.
Race 2: #4 Miss Phromily
Tragedy beaten last start behind Yasey San at Sandown and has placed 2 of 4 here. She drops a whopping 4kg and simply looks a moral.
Race 6: #5 Count The Diamonds
Been waiting for this fellow to get back to the Valley after a solid effort at Sandown last start where he was caught wide yet battled on really well to finish a close up 5th behind the flying Testa My Patience. From gate one he’ll be in the firing line up on the speed and is a winner here. Get on at good odds.
Race 7: #3 Lucy’s Cash
Classy grey mare from the strong Patinack camp who looks well placed first up with Steven Arnold on board. If she can find a nice position midfield, she’s going to be mighty hard to hold out.
Race 8: #3 Side Splitter
Races well here and will enjoy the sting out of the track. Strong on-pacer who ran well behind From The Terrace last start and looks nicely suited with the claim for Jack Hill.
Best Bet: R2 #4 Miss Phromily
Best Roughie: R6 #5 Count The Diamonds
