David Hayes trained runner Changingofthegaurd is in doubt for tomorrows $5 million dollar race.After watching Changingoftheguard trot today Dr O’Callaghan has raised concern about the runner, Changingoftheguard has recently recovered from a foot absess and was going into tomorrows race at $27/1.
Before this news circulated there had been large bets on the Hayes runner which has been backed from 27/1 into 21/1 and continues to find support.
Racing Victoria’s vets will look over Changingoftheguard tomorrow morning before allowing the 4yo bay horse to take part in Australia’s most prestigious racing event.
