The ride on George Main Stakes favourite Kermadec goes on the line when Glen Boss fights a 10-meeting suspension in Melbourne.
Boss will appear before the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Tuesday afternoon over the ban for his winning ride on Kinglike in the Danehill Stakes at Flemington.
He needs at least a reduction in the penalty to ride the Chris Waller-trained Kermadec in Saturday’s Group One race at Randwick.
Boss rode Kermadec to win the Doncaster Mile in April.
Kermadec is the George Main favourite ahead of his stablemate Royal Descent who has finished second in the race for the past two years.
