Apprentice Daniel Stackhouse has a fractured pelvis after a trackwork mishap at Caulfield on Tuesday.

Stackhouse, who is apprenticed to leading trainer Peter Moody, is expected to be out of the saddle for six to eight weeks after a horse reared over on him during the trackwork session.

He was taken to hospital for X-rays which detected a small fracture to his pelvis, but surgery is not required.

Stackhouse was booked for three rides at Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting, including two for Moody.
