Wonder mare Black Caviar has done it again, stretching her unbeaten record to 16 with a facile win in the Group One Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington.
In winning the $1 million sprint with consummate ease, the Peter Moody-trained champion took her prize money past $4.3 million and racked up her seventh Group One success.

Queenslander Buffering led the 1200m sprint early but it was obvious that he was there on sufferance.
When jockey Luke Nolen gave Black Caviar a squeeze at the 300m, she moved past Buffering effortlessly and strolled away from him in the run to the line.
Buffering held on well for second with Black Caviar’s stablemate Mid Summer Music third.
“They expect her to win,” Nolen said. “You don’t want to let anyone down.
“I’m just over the moon.
“She’s done a fantastic job.
“She’s a great ambassador for Australian racing.”
Moody said he was relieved the mighty mare had been successful again.
“I’m just grateful to be a little part of it,” he said.
