Looking at the Blue Diamond Stakes which is running tomorrow at Caulfield racecourse i have gone through and made what i thought will be the running positions of the field. View the 2011 Blue Diamond Stakes speed map.
In the fourteen horse field there looks to be a lot of speed in the race with quite a few of the runners i feel will be looking to take up the running to take advantage of Caulfield’s relatively short straight. Anevay should have enough toe to lead them into the straight and she will be much better suited at Caulfield than her previous run at Flemington.
Favourite Sepoy should be one back one out and have the sit on the leaders although i doubt he will be given any favours from those around him knowing he is the horse to beat. From what i can tell it looks set-up for a swooper in the race, the ones i think that will be hitting the line strong at the finish will be Atomic, Delago’s Lad, Holdontoyahorses and Hallowell Belle. If Sepoy wasn’t to win the race i think the winner will come from those four horses.

A good each way chance looks to be Running Tall who will get the run of the race, the son of Stratum is currently at $17 with most bookmakers.
