8/8/2026 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Morphettville, Behemoth Stakes day

Nine races will be run and won at Morphettville this Saturday for Behemoth Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out twelve metres for the entire circuit.

1 Pretty Baby (Bet Now: $4.20) has been kept on ice since winning the Oaklands on June 27 over 1400m, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. She likely will spot them a start here but launch late and can win.

4 Inhabit (Bet Now: $6.50) is a Michael Hickmott trained filly that resumes. Her last run came in the Magic Millions at the Gold Coast when down the track and looked a tired horse behind Unit Five. Given a good break, looks to have trialled well and has class on her side vs this lot.

6 Azytass (Bet Now: $7.00) comes to town off the back of a first up win at Balaklava, sitting on speed and produced sustained speed from the outset, giving nothing else a look in to win and win well. Good test here but confident she can measure up.

3 Brave Star (Bet Now: $3.60) ran a game second to Jandami two weeks ago at this track/distance, trying hard from just off speed but couldn’t quite get there and had to settle for a narrow second. Holding his form really well and should be around the mark once again.

4 Willybeafactor (Bet Now: $6.00) is ten years of age but I think he’s racing in career best form. He ran third to Jandami a fortnight back at this track/distance, trying hard from just off speed but couldn’t quite get there when third. He takes beating against these.

2 Arugamama (Bet Now: $61.00) is an Andrew Gluyas trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since March 6 when down the track in the Torney Cup at Pakenham, and Adelaide Cup aspirations were put aside. She can sprint well fresh so watch betting.

8 Peta’s Heart (Bet Now: $9.00) was 1800m back to the mile when racing two weeks ago, getting back to near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, she kept chasing and was pretty good late. Like her back up in trip and she strikes a winnable race.

1 Placo (Bet Now: $6.00) had front end control on the Parks track three weeks ago over 2250m, landing in front and seemingly had his chance but was still a definite pass mark in defeat behind Miracle Spin. Good racing style and back in trip, he appeals.

6 Flash Alice (Bet Now: $3.60) is three weeks between runs since racing over 2250m on the Parks track. She landed off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through and get there when third to Miracle Spin. Back to 2000m is fine, she takes beating.

2 Golden Guru (Bet Now: $3.70) is several weeks between runs since racing over 1250m on the Parks track. He got off speed and worked to the line pretty well late in the piece behind Cool Magnum. The rise in trip should suit and the depth isn’t overly deep.

5 Paganini (Bet Now: $7.00) took a little while to break the maiden tag but the win finally came at Murray Bridge last time, making an absolute mess of them and ran pretty good time in the process. He’s found form, he can go on with it.

8 Aramoso (Bet Now: $61.00) didn’t do a bad job last week at Strathalbyn. He tried to make a sustained run from off speed and was game but couldn’t quite see it through when third. The trip looks fine…doubt he wins but can run first four.

6 Extremely Rowdy (Bet Now: $3.60) should be better for the first up run, which came behind Kalasec two weeks ago here. She got off speed and seemingly had her chance but was far from disgraced. Fitter, depth here not as deep, she appeals.

3 Gazz (Bet Now: $31.00) is a Dylan Caboche trained gelding that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since March 9 over this track/distance when down the track behind a potential Stakes class horse in Mathematician. Looks to have trialled well, watch betting.

12 One Kind (Bet Now: $46.00) is one for exotics. She ran last Saturday at Roxby Downs and seemingly didn’t handle the dirt track, tailed off by 20L. Prior effort at Balaklava was quite good, I am saying she could pinch first four.

6 Hello World (Bet Now: $26.00) is knocking on the door after a second over 1200m here two weeks ago. He landed near the speed and was there to win but had no answers for the finale of Eugenius. Good racing style and back in trip, he takes beating.

2 Deepfloat Diva (Bet Now: $4.20) ran a game third to Lingani a fortnight back. He led, copped heat, and tried hard, but just felt the pinch late in the piece. If he gets some form of front end control, he’ll take running down.

5 Bouncing Beyond (Bet Now: $14.00) comes here with fresh legs, several weeks between runs since a second over 1200m here, chasing strongly in the straight but couldn’t quite get there when second to Ginger Sinner. If he’s fit enough, he commands respect.

3 Sir Now (Bet Now: $4.60) steps up to 1200m after racing over 1100m two weeks back, sitting on speed and fought very hard in the straight but was nabbed near the peg by Lingani. Good racing style, hard fit and will look the winner at some stage.

8 Mating Call (Bet Now: $8.50) is a ripping mare that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since the Centaurea where she was as game as ever in defeat but had to settle for a very narrow second to Private Legacy. Fresh at 1200m is interesting but she has a touch of quality about her.

7 Lingani (Bet Now: $4.80) is a beauty for Team Blanch. Loved the way she dug in to win two weeks ago, driving hard from off speed and finished best to get the job done. 1200m is fine, she’ll be strong late, hard fit and in form…she appeals as a key prospect.

8 Hooked On Wealth (Bet Now: $5.50) ran second to Kalasec two weeks ago here. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never beating Kalasec, he kept chasing and finding the line in defeat. 1200m is fine, he can settle closer and be effective late.

3 Justacclaim (Bet Now: $3.10) was a gritty track/distance winner a fortnight back. He found under pressure because he looked gone at stages but surged hard late to finish best and score. Harder here but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

12 Mansiere (Bet Now: $19.00) did a reasonable job behind Kalasec two weeks back here. He got into an awkward spot from the good draw and was never really a factor. Prior efforts were sound enough and this isn’t a deep contest overall.

1 Lomax (Bet Now: $9.50) was a forgive behind Jandami two weeks back here. He was back near last, chasing from a fair way out and although he was well held, he did get cop interference on a couple of occasions. If he’s within range, with clear air, he can launch late.

3 Cradle Of Jazz (Bet Now: $2.40) is a mare in ripping form at present for Roslyn Day. Loved the way this mare dug in when required to win here two weeks ago at this trip, finding plenty under pressure to fend them off and score. Clearly commands respect.

7 Full Commitment (Bet Now: $5.50) comes to town off the back of a dominant win over this trip at Strathalbyn, settling near the speed before being clicked up and away she went to win and win well. Tricky gate but confident she can measure up.
