9 Formula Rossa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate the rise to 1200m after debuting three weeks ago over 1000m at the Sunny Coast where she was raw and new to the caper but she worked home with purpose when a close up third to Luva Flutta. Off that effort, the extra 200m looks ideal, and stable is humming with their juveniles it appears.

1 Lockyer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here for Tony Gollan with fresh legs, having not raced since Nov 2 when on debut over 1000m here when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort when a narrow second to Strawberry Smash. Tick over trial was good and 1200m should be fine.

8 Meet George (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given another look. This guy debuted on the Sunny Coast Poly when wide throughout…somehow in a field of six, so forgive and forget he went around. Had trialled super prior to that so I think he has to be given another look.

6 Ludovisi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect for Tony Gollan. He ran last Wednesday at Doomben over the mile where he got a fair way off the speed but kept finding the line and was good in defeat behind impressive winner Naval Seal. Racing like a rise to 1800m suits and strikes a winnable race.

7 Miss Chenery (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Chris Waller, having not raced since contesting an 1800m race at the Sunny Coast where she got a decent enough run in transit and tried hard but just found one better in Jealous. Firmer deck, she takes beating.

11 Jealous (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the hardest to beat after a Sunny Coast win three weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating and handling the wet track best to score. She has that 1800m run under the belt, which should hold her in good stead. Hard to beat.

7 Old Song (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a mare racing really well at present for Scott Morrisey and rates highly for me. She stepped up to this trip a few weeks ago where she gave them a start and a beating, and was impressive the way she put them away late in the piece. Has that run/win under the belt, she’s hard to beat once again.

1 Up And Under (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the leading chances. He looked cast in Sydney so Waller sent him North and his first run in this part of the world was last Wednesday at Doomben. He got into a decent spot off the speed and kept finding the line when second to Bedford Square. Like him up in trip and is one of the threats.

3 Artful Girl (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to be entertained in exotics. She comes through the Bedford Square race from last Wednesday at Doomben where she got off the speed and kept chasing without threatening but was good in defeat. I think with a more positive ride, she’s good enough to be dangerous at odds.

7 Bews (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. He comes through a 1200m race at the Sunny Coast three weeks ago where I am not sure he was 100% happy on the wet ground but he kept on and was good in defeat behind I Am Artie. Hard fit now, firmer deck, he appeals.

The end of 1200m is the slight query with 3 Goldsborough (Bet Now:  $SP.00) but he’s a tough, genuine animal that will just keep on. That was the case at the Sunny Coast last time and gave a strong kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through when nabbed late by I Am Artie. Hard to beat with his racing style.

8 End Assembly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks one of the hardest to beat. He ran over 1350m at Doomben a few weeks ago where he was afforded seemingly every chance by Callow and yes, held, but he was close up and game in defeat. I think with a better run in transit, more economical, he can win.

2 Hell Hath No Fury (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has class on her side and I’ll bank on that class carrying her a long way towards victory. She comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since the Seymour Cup where she was down the track and a bit on the plain side behind Midnight Blue, but I will say she was wide throughout, so she had excuses. Hard to beat against these.

3 Cigar Flick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has returned in super order for Chris Waller. She ran in the How Now three weeks ago and worked home strongly from off the speed but just couldn’t quite get there when fifth to Niance. She’s flying and if she’s within range, she has the finale to take this out.

5 Burning Bell (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for the Edmonds/McLean camp, having not raced since Oct 12 over 1400m here when leading and tiring late to finish down the track behind Yellow Brick. Back to Mares grade, back in trip and with fresh legs, she appeals.

3 Inver Park (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Kris Lees and takes beating here after a dominant win three weeks ago at the Sunny Coast where he lapped up the conditions and was quite dominant late in the piece. He was 1250m to 1400m there and a few weeks between runs so he has good room for improvement.

1 Junipal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Ciaron Maher since racing over the mile at the Sunny Coast where he tried hard from off the speed but couldn’t quite get there behind the very much in form Kerchak. Back on firmer footing and back in trip, he’s a leading chance.

8 Arts Object (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise in trip for Kurt Goldman after resuming last Wednesday in the Recognition at Doomben. She paraded like she would need the run and that’s how it panned out when down the track behind Oughton. Fitter and up in trip, she’s an improver at odds.

2 Transatlantic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a Stradbroke contender and I think he’ll secure his start via a win here. His win three weeks ago at the Sunny Coast…gee it was arrogant. It had been a while since they rode him with intent and the end result was a spank job of his rivals. Harder here, but very confident he can measure up.

9 Blazing Harry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be hard to beat here. He was a bit one paced when asked to go at Kembla a fortnight back and just couldn’t quite finish the job but he stayed on, racing like he wants more ground, or cushion in the track. Leading contender.

15 Mister Bianco (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be strong late and be better for the first up run behind Give Me Space a few weeks back. He got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job. Fitter and up in trip, he should be strong late and has good upside.

1 Rothfire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the best horse in the race, by some distance, and his class will carry him a long way. He resumes, having not raced since the Magic Millions QTIS when far from disgraced in defeat behind Boom Torque, who was flying at the time and impressive. Looked sharp in a recent trial and maps perfect..

11 Shalaa’s Moment (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect given he did win the Swiss Ace, getting the sweet sit in transit just off the speed before angling for clear air and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. Good improvement to come, he’ll take beating.

8 Nettuno (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given another look. He resumed three weeks back in the Swiss Ace where not much went right for him in the straight so I’m just going to put a line through it. He just needs room to move and time to wind up so keen to see how he goes.

9 Blitzum (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the watch horse for Chris Anderson. He resumed with an absolute bang at Ipswich where he was trucking in behind. Just a matter of getting clear air and once he got it, away he went and he spanked them. Has eyes on the Magic Millions and his tick over trial was quite good.

2 Give Me Space (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing last Saturday at Doomben where he wasn’t 100% happy on the shifty track but he kept on and was good in defeat. Like him up to 1400m, bigger track and firmer deck, he appeals.

4 Superhero (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong this time in for Neasham/Archibald and commands respect. He was a strong winner at Hawksebury two back before racing there again when off speed and tried hard but couldn’t get past a good one I think in Shangri La Spring. Brings the strong NSW form and will be strong late.

5 Rainbow Connection (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps in the last. He ran over the mile last Wednesday at Doomben and tried hard but just couldn’t quite run the trip out behind Torabella. Back to 1400m, kind map, he rates highly.

16 Tavs (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the leading contenders. He ran over 1350m last Wednesday at Doomben where he got back off the speed and worked home well when second to The Inflictor. He’s racing like 1400m will be ideal, as will the bigger track.

8 Black Duke (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over this trip at the Sunny Coast. He did a bit of work in the run from the tricky gate and I reckon that took something away from his finale behind Inver Park. Better run in transit, he is good enough to take this out.
