1 Chase My Crown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks hard to beat against these. Wayne Wilkes trained mare that ran at the midweeks at Warwick Farm last time where she was held up behind them and seemingly had plenty to forgive when fourth to Soul Choice. City form very rarely isn’t A1 for a Highway race so with that in mind, kind map, 3kg claim…all points to her.

11 Atmospheric Rock (Bet Now:  $SP.00) doesn’t have the best of racing patterns but he has the engine under the hood to give this a shake. He comes through the Al Ash Lad Highway from a fortnight back here. He was ridden a tad quiet from the tricky gate and it seemed to work because he found the line with purpose behind the Matty Dunn horse. If he is within range on the turn, he has the finale to win.

3 Lord Desanimaux (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be in for a good prep for Terry Robinson. Market said he’d need the run when resuming at Hawkesbury over 1300m and that is how it panned out when down the track behind Zouologist, but his late splits weren’t too bad. Might need one more and a further rise in trip, but he is a proven Highway performer.

2 Peace Officer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has come back in super order for Clarry Conners and has to be rated as the one to beat. This gelding is 2/2 this time in, winning impressively fresh on Wyong Cup Day before proving that was no fluke with a strong win here two weeks ago in the Midway. I think he has room for improvement and with that in mind, he’s hard to beat.

11 Satness (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing really well at the moment for Team Price and is one of the key chances. He won the Midway a few weeks back at Randwick, getting the sweet sit behind the speed before angling into clear air and in a driving finish, he got the job done and was a strong winner. This race isn’t much harder and although back to 1400m is a query, he is quite genuine.

6 Bend The Knee (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be rated as one of the key winning prospects. He was a real eye catcher in the Midway here two weeks back when near last in the run but finished off hard late behind Peace Officer. He has the potential to settle much closer in the run and his best is clearly good enough to take this out.

8 Pierossa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 2000m. Team Snowden mare that was specked at odds a fortnight back here and while she was never threatening Marquess, she kept finding the line in a good effort to finish second. Has room for improvement I feel and is proven at 2000m+ so she appeals as a key winning chance.

4 Gan Teorainn (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been crying out for more ground all prep, she gets it here and with that in mind, she is on top. All three runs this time in have come at the mile, the latest being three weeks ago when off the speed and kept chasing but just lacked the change up speed when third to Strait Acer. Hard fit now, up in trip, peak fitness, like her a lot.

3 Pesto (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be in for a good prep and up to 2000m is ideal. He resumed three weeks back at Randwick in the Strait Acer race. He got a fair way out of his ground and did make up some headway but was never a threat to the in form Ed Cummings horse. Might want one more and 2400m, but off the return, he’s in with a shout.

12 Stanislaus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) appeals back to 78 grade. James Cummings trained three year old that was thrown in the deep end two weeks ago in the Heritage and I actually thought he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Ozzmosis. Lands in a plum spot from the inside gate and the depth, as a whole, is thin, so down in the weights, he appeals.

3 Fire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the engine under the hood. Team Hawkes trained gelding that resumed several weeks ago over 1000m at Sandown where he got back and wide in the run but despite that, he was never really a factor and a tad on the plain side late behind Viviane. That mare has won again since so the form reads super and if he’s within range, he has the engine under the hood to launch late.

8 Classy Jaybee (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one I can entertain for wider multiples. He is just over three weeks between runs since contesting The Hurricane at Newcastle when back and chasing due to the hot tempo and got warm late in a good effort when third to Wondereach. Like him up to 1100m and has run well at the track/distance previously. One for exotics.

5 Celestial Legend (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the engine under the hood to blow this field away. Potentially, he could end up having a better CV than former stablemate Classique Legend, who of course won The Everest a few years ago. This three year old resumed in the Heritage two weeks ago and he was the real eye catcher late in the piece behind impressive winner Ozzmosis. Fitter and up to 1200m, I think it could be a case of good luck beating him.

4 Namesake (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1200m for Maher/Eustace. This guy resumed in the Heritage a fortnight back where the market said he might need the run but despite having no friends in betting, he found the line quite well I thought when third to Ozzmosis. Much better set up this time around and has the potential to settle closer in the run.

2 Barber (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous. Market said he was ready to rock and roll when resuming two weeks back in the Heritage but he just got too far back from the wide gate and was pretty much ridden like it was a barrier trial behind Ozzmosis. He likely will spot them a start again but should be quite strong at the end.

I reckon 4 Chrysaor (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can take this out. Chris Waller trained three year old that has been kept on ice, having not raced since the Run To The Rose when not getting clear air at any stage when having something to offer behind Cylinder. Much better suited at 1400m and if he gets the rub of the green this time around, enormous upside, he appeals big time.

1 Encap (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the runs on the board to do a number on these. He comes through the Golden Rose where he was hailed as the winner when he hit the front but was nabbed right on the peg by Militarize in a brave effort. If he runs up to his form, he is the likely winner…just the query of whether there is upside left.

13 Makarena (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in a two start career for Team Hawkes. Caught the eye late on debut on the Kenso behind Nadal before going to Canterbury where she was wide no cover, doing work, and was entitled to knock up, but she kept finding and was too good. Not a strong race so a win wouldn’t shock with her.

7 Hoo Ya Mal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been crying out for more ground, he gets it here and I am quite keen on his prospects. He has had two runs at the mile to start the prep, the latest being three weeks ago in the 7 Stakes when just lacking the change up speed but stuck on and was good in defeat behind Think It Over. Hard fit now, up in trip, he appeals big time.

11 Montefilia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is just struggling to recapture her brilliant best but I think returning to her home track can spark improvement. She ran three weeks ago in the Kingston Town and seemingly had every chance but was beaten by perhaps a star in Just Fine. Loves racing at Rosehill and she’ll be stronger than most at the end. One of the leading contenders.

6 Protagonist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) isn’t well treated at the weights but I am convinced he is racing well and maps ideally. He comes through the Kingston Town where he got a mile out of his ground and yes, the race was set up for him, but he was a mile back and did make up good headway behind Just Fine. 1/1 at Rosehill, he only runs well.

Landed with 10 Detonator Jack (Bet Now:  $SP.00). Maher/Eustace gelding that is three weeks between runs since racing over 1400m at Flemington where he did work on speed and that early burn just told late in the piece when third to impressive winner Kalino. Maps to get a much better run in transit and third up from a spell, he should just about be ready to go.

11 Tamerlane (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has good upside to come and with an ideal racing pattern, he’ll take beating I am sure. He resumed three weeks ago in the Bill Ritchie when attempting to lead throughout and credit to him, he did give a strong kick but couldn’t quite finish the job behind Rediener, who of course came out and won the Epsom, so the form reads super. Leading chance.

12 Waterford (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands some level of respect. Chris Waller trained five year old that was down to run last Saturday in the Epsom but instead runs here. He ran two weeks back here in the Shannon where he was tardy away and forced to sit back near last and while he made ground, he was never a threat to Cepheus. Hard fit now and if he can settle closer, he’ll take holding out.

3 Parisal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat against these. This mare has done a super job this time in on two occasions, winning the Toy Show fresh at Randwick before racing at Caulfield several weeks ago in the Cockram when leading and looked the winner but was nabbed near the peg by Benedetta, who ran well in the Bobbie Lewis, so the form reads well, her tick over trial was outstanding and this looks well within her reach.

5 Magic Time (Bet Now:  $SP.00) I reckon she’d be a good thing if this was at Randwick. Just not sure about her at Rosehill but she has talent. Resumed several weeks ago at Caulfield and I thought she did a good job against the race shape behind quality mare Asfoora, who ran second in the Moir last Friday night, so the form clearly reads well.

9 Rainbiel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout hope for Joe Pride. This mare is steadily getting back to her best and her best is Stakes quality. She sat on speed two weeks back over 1100m here and while she was never a threat to all the way winner Tristate, she kept on and was game in defeat to finish second. Hard fit now, she is a must for exotics.

2 Kayobi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was scratched from an easier race on Wednesday in preference for this. He resumed a few weeks ago over 1200m at Randwick and was good in defeat, finishing a close up third to Kibou after being near the speed. Looks so well placed in this 78 with the claim and maps to get run of the race. Keen on his prospects.

10 Gringotts (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a drop back to 1300m for Maher/Eustace. He ran a few weeks back here over 1400m where he looked quite keen in the run behind the speed and when presented at the top of the straight, he found not much and just whacked to the line behind Ausbred Flirt. Hard fit now and getting back in trip, hard to beat if he can relax.

11 Portray (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be in for a good prep and should prove hard to beat here. She resumed two weeks ago over 1100m here where the race shape wasn’t to her liking at all but despite that, I thought she ran a very credible race in defeat behind Tristate, who dominated from the front and was too good. Portray stuck on well and the rise to 1300m is ideal. Hard to beat despite the gate.

BEST BET: Race Ten Number 2 Kayobi

NEXT BEST: Race Nine Number 3 Parisal

LONG SHOT: Race Six Number 4 Chrysaor
