Race One (12:27) : Mekka Raceday Handicap 2200m:
Back Me: 2 Brave Ali (Bet Now: $3.60) drops a fair bit in grade after contesting the Grafton Cup last time out where he copped some heat on speed and finished down the track behind Rednav. Tighter track looks ideal and this is a drop in depth.
Big Danger: 1 Rednav (Bet Now: $3.00) won that Grafton Cup and was somewhat a surprise winner despite winning the Prelude in impressive fashion. He does meet Brave Ali 2.5kg worse off, but the small field helps and he is racing in fab form.
Roughie: 7 Super Force (Bet Now: $8.00) ran at the Gold Coast a couple of weeks ago where he started a short priced fav and was a touch disappointing I thought in only managing fifth. Stable is in ripping form and he can win for sure.

Race Two (13:02) : Coca Cola Handicap (85) 1615m:
Back Me: The money has been solid for 2 Hi Son (Bet Now: $3.50) who drops big time in depth after running in the Tatts Mile here last Saturday where I thought he was very good from the back behind Group l performer Akavoroun. Draws awkwardly, but I hope they roll forward, because he looks thrown in at the weights here after the claim.
Big Danger: 7 Brazen Moss (Bet Now: $3.30) did a really good job at the midweeks here recently where he lumped 60kg to a narrow but impressive win. That would have done him the world of good confidence wise and he can go close.
Roughie: 5 Bodega Negra (Bet Now: $8.00) ran over this track/distance three weeks ago where he got back in the run and was okay behind Harada Bay, a race where the form was franked last Saturday. Not as much depth here and if he he finds his best, he strikes a very winnable race.

Race Three (13:40) : Absolutely Fabulous The Movie Handicap 1050m:
Back Me: 1 Spot The Diff (Bet Now: $9.50) is a class animal that loved the drop in depth last week at Rockhampton and duly saluted, winning quite comfortably. She can handle the step back up to Saturday grade.
Big Danger: 7 Red Handle (Bet Now: $5.50) resumed in a pretty thin race at Ipswich and bolted in as a $1.30 pop. Bit more depth here, but you have to like the way she is going about it at the moment and rates as a major contender.
Roughie: 4 Damn Fine (Bet Now: $18.00) was a solid winner here when resuming before going to Eagle Farm where he looked a touch disappointing. He is much better than that and can definitely bounce back here.

Race Four (14:17) : Smirnoff Handicap 1350m:
Back Me: 4 Beckham (Bet Now: $3.70) was confidently back to win at Eagle Farm a fortnight back and aided by a peach steer from Lloyd, the gelding was too good for his rivals. He does like Doomben, hard fit and in form.
Big Danger: 2 Saluter (Bet Now: $4.20) put in an absolute shocker behind Beckham at Eagle Farm, finishing last in the six horse field. He is much better than that and could easily bounce back here with normal luck.
Roughie: 3 Choice Bro (Bet Now: $9.50) ran over 1200m here three weeks ago and closed off well from the back to run third to Dream Choice. He is suspect beyond six furlongs, but the small field suits and he has a turn of foot.

Race Five (14:57) : Moet and Chandon Chairmans Club Handicap (0MW) 1350m:
Back Me: 14 Monster Of Energy (Bet Now: $4.40) looked home last start at Eagle Farm when he darted up the inside and dashed clear, but he was grabbed right on the peg by One Inch Punch. Likes racing at Doomben also and is in career best form.
Big Danger: 19 Shipwrecked (Bet Now: $6.00) ran at the midweeks here a couple of weeks back and led all the way for a narrow but impressive win. Rises up in depth but he is a proven city performer and there is upside.
Roughie: 15 Old Habits (Bet Now: $10.00) comes here after racing at this track/distance three weeks back when sitting back in the run and closing off well late to finish within three lengths of Angel Dancer. Hard to trust, but the talent is there and can win if he finds his best.

Race Six (15:37) : Country Music Raceday Plate (Class 3) 1200m:
Back Me: Race sets up perfectly for 1 Slydini (Bet Now: $5.50), a former Sydney sider now with Bryan Guy. He has some really good city form, including a last start second at Randwick. Should go close with normal luck.
Big Danger: 9 Rhyme For Rhythm (Bet Now: $2.70) strung together two wins at Toowoomba before going to Ipswich last time and didn’t really appreciate the tight circuit. Talented and does find a winnable race.
Roughie: 13 Forbidden Kisses (Bet Now: $14.00) comes here after a run during the Grafton Carnival where she ran a very good second in a fillies and mares race. She will get back and look to charge late.

Race Seven (16:17) : Hamilton Hotel Plate 1200m:
Back Me: I thought 2 Most Important (Bet Now: $4.80) was a good thing when racing at Eagle Farm last start but he let me down badly with a disappointing fourth after receiving every hope. Former track and back to Doomben are big ticks, and he should be at peak fitness.
Roughie: 10 Madotti (Bet Now: $3.60) is on the back up after racing here last weekend where she loomed to win the race but found one better in Colinelle. Seven day turnaround is no issue and she should take some beating here.
Roughie: 18 Magnus Cor is a talented galloper that didn’t quite know how to put it together but he did that in spades a couple of weeks back at the Sunshine Coast when a dominant winner. Draws next to his stablemate Colinelle and could potentially track his every move. Definite threat.

Race Eight (16:53) : BRC Membership Handicap 1615m:
Back Me: 2 Sagaronne (Bet Now: $4.60) showed glimpses of getting back to her best with a closing fourth in the Daybreak Lover behind Sold For Song. That was the first time she had run well in ages, and she strikes a very winnable race here if she improves off that, because on her previous form, she is simply better than these.
Big Danger: 8 Mysticism (Bet Now: $11.00) was a real eye catcher last time out in the Grafton Guineas, working home late behind the well performed Reneged. Mile is no issue, hard fit and in form.
Roughie: 10 Emvepee (Bet Now: $17.00) ran during the Grafton Carnival over 1400m and was quite dominant in getting the job done, aided by a peach steer from Glyn Schofield. He’ll have no trouble with the mile here, he’s fit, in form and again draws a lovely barrier. Hard to fault him.
