The Parks track will play host to an eight race card on Saturday. Weather is fine, track is good (4) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (13:32) Dominant (Bm78) 2250m
2 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now: $SP.00) has a great record on the Parks track and hard fit now, I think she is the way to go. This mare has placed her past three, the latest being at Gawler two weeks ago where she landed on speed and gave a strong kick but just couldn’t quite see it through when third to Test The Law. I reckon with a bunny to chase, a more patient steer, back on the Parks track, she appeals.
1 Yuri Royale (Bet Now: $SP.00) should appreciate dropping back in trip for Team Jolly. He has run over 2500m his past couple, the latest being three weeks back at Murray Bridge, and ran a very honest race, but just didn’t quite run the trip out when down the track behind Wisaka. Slightly back in trip is ideal and if there is petrol in the tank, he can win.
5 Pointless Praise (Bet Now: $SP.00) seems a very one paced type so I think if he is to win, he will want to make this a staying contest. He ran over 2500m on the course proper here on Boxing Day when near the speed throughout and presented to win but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Call Me Vexatious. Back in trip I like, he’ll be strong at the end…dangerous.
Race 2. (14:07) Adelaide Cup Day March 11 (66) 1250m
4 Toast The Deel (Bet Now: $SP.00) should prove hard to beat for Clarken/O’Shea. Her last couple of runs have come over 1200m at Gawler, the latest being two weeks back where she got back to near last in the run but I really liked the way she finished her race off behind She’s Greysful, finishing a close up third. If she can settle closer, she’ll take beating.
3 She’s Greysful (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Bain/Taylor trained mare that has come back in really good order. Both runs this prep have come over 1200m at Gawler, placing first up behind Exalted Dame before a strong win two weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating in a strong display. Hard fit now, good racing style, genuine…she’ll do me.
5 Hope At Hand (Bet Now: $SP.00) is an Andrew Gluyas trained mare that is hard to catch at times but her best is more than good enough to take this out. She ran at Gawler two weeks back where she was back in the run and tried to get involved but it didn’t eventuate, finishing down the track behind She’s Greysful. Has the engine under the hood to win. Just needs to show it again.
Race 3. (14:42) Pfd Food Services (Bm66) 1550m
5 Pearl Adios (Bet Now: $SP.00) has been excellent this time in for Andrew Gluyas and rates highly. He ran third to San Lucido a fortnight back at Gawler, getting a decent enough run in transit near the speed and tried hard to get there but had to settle for a third to San Lucido. Third up, so he should be hard fit and his form as a 3YO does read very well for a race like this.
6 Billie Bronx (Bet Now: $SP.00) has found winning form and she can certainly go on with it for Billie Bronx. Market wanted her with confidence when racing at Gawler two weeks ago and under a confident steer from Alana Livesay, she made a mess of them, winning by 4.6L and ran good time in winning. Harder here, but hard to get away from her after last start.
7 Mug’s Game (Bet Now: $SP.00) is two weeks between runs since racing at Gawler where she attempted to lead throughout and she gave a decent kick but just felt the pinch at the end. That said, she was far from disgraced in defeat behind Pool Pony. Lands near the front, racing well…must for exotics.
Race 4. (15:17) Thomas Farms (Bm66) 1250m
2 Mighty Sapphire (Bet Now: $SP.00) has to be given another look. I am not sure what to make of his run two weeks ago at Gawler. He got back to last in the run and did make up some headway but was never really threatening behind San Lucido. The prior starts/wins were dominant and off those efforts, he can win this.
3 Pompeii Empire (Bet Now: $SP.00) is third up from a break and should just about be at peak fitness. Impressive first up win here on the course proper here before going to Gawler where he wasn’t as dynamic, perhaps struggling on the wet ground behind Celsius Star. Back on firmer footing and hard fit, he can bounce back.
1 Impossible Action (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Team Jolly trained gelding that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since Sep 9 over 1550m here when back in the run and failing to come on when down the track behind Prince Jofra, who was flying at the time. 1250m is short of his best but he can sprint well fresh and will be strong at the end.
Race 5. (15:52) Croser (Bm62) 1250m
1 Never Surrender (Bet Now: $SP.00) took a little while to break the maiden tag but now that he has, he can go on with it. He ran in a Gawler maiden two weeks ago where he got into a dream spot behind the speed before angling clear and kept finding the line, driving hard late to score. He has that 1200m run/win under the belt, which should hold him in good stead.
5 Lapilli (Bet Now: $SP.00) has been kept on ice for Team Jolly, having not raced since Jan 6 where she ran at Gawler. She was kept quite safe in betting but she struggled on the bog track behind Meg’s Magic. Firmer footing is ideal and off the first up win, she can run a much improved race.
8 Angelic Appeal (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a filly heading in the right direction for Team Alexander. She ran fourth behind She’s Greysful two weeks back at Gawler, getting back to near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, she made up a stack of ground to be beaten a length but the run was full of merit. She’s going well enough to take this out.
Race 6. (16:32) Piper Heidsieck (Bm76) 1400m
7 Tapinforpar (Bet Now: $SP.00) has to be given another look for Richards/Moyle. This gelding ran three weeks ago at Murray Bridge where on face value, he was disappointing, but he was nearer the inside, but that part of the track in recent meetings there has been cactus, so be forgiving. Prior efforts were strong, he likes the Parks track…think he can bounce back.
8 Exalted Dame (Bet Now: $SP.00) has been up forever it seems like but gee she is racing well. Jon O’Connor trained mare that won three weeks ago at Murray Bridge, finishing best to win and win well after giving them a start, beating them late in a sharp effort. No reason why she can’t run another positive race.
5 El Rocko (Bet Now: $SP.00) doesn’t have the best of winning strike rates but he is a handy animal when right. John McArdle trained gelding that ran in the Vagrant race from three weeks ago at Flemington where he got back in the run off the speed and kept finding the line in a solid effort behind the Mitch Freedman galloper. Interesting placement but his form does read well.
Race 7. (17:12) Farewell Dicky Angove Hcp (64) 1400m
7 Supreme Thunder (Bet Now: $SP.00) is hit and miss for Jamie Opperman but his best is certainly good enough to be dangerous. Gave them a start and a beating two back at Naracoorte before racing at Gawler where he got too far back and wide, but made up ground in a solid effort behind Billie Bronx. Dangerous if he can settle closer in the run.
3 Rising Legend (Bet Now: $SP.00) is racing well for Chris Bieg and is one of the key chances. He appreciated the step up to 1400m when winning on Australia Day at Murray Bridge, sitting on speed throughout and was too tough late for Zero Inn, who led and gave a decent kick. He has that 1400m run under the belt, which should hold him in good stead.
6 Runsir (Bet Now: $SP.00) is here with good upside and is in a leading camp. He resumed a few weeks back at Strathalbyn where he got back in the run, spotting those in front a tidy start, but I really liked the way he finished off behind Not A Single Bid. Fitter, good upside, can settle closer, dangerous.
Race 8. (18:00) Winning Edge Presentations Hcp (66) 1950m
3 Dual Fuel (Bet Now: $SP.00) has finally found winning form…can she go on with it? She found a very moderate race at Oakbank last time and despite sitting wide throughout, she had panels on them and was impressive in winning. She has promised to be a city class horse for some time and now her confidence is up, I think she can go on with it.
2 Tametomo (Bet Now: $SP.00) is racing like he will appreciate a rise in trip. He ran over 1700m at Gawler a fortnight back when near the speed throughout and tried his guts out but just didn’t have the finale to go with impressive winner Second To Nun. Has won up to 2100m so 1950m here is ideal and the depth is thin.
4 Plaisir (Bet Now: $SP.00) is dangerous at odds if he finds the front and can roll. He didn’t find the front at Gawler two weeks back and ran accordingly, finishing down the track behind Billie Bronx, who was dominant in defeat. Up in trip should be fine, and if he leads, he will run a much improved race at odds.
