1 Darkbonee (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is progressive and heading in the right direction for Symon Wilde. Loved the way he knuckled down to win at the midweeks at Sandown, finishing best from off speed and was strong to the line. He looks the one with the most upside and confident he can handle the rise to this grade.

6 Cyclone Harmony (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect for Peter Gelagotis. He ran over the mile at Cranbourne last start when back off speed but got a drag into the race and launched late but had to settle for a second to Waco Kid. Racing well, knocking on the door and strikes a winnable race.

5 Samurai Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) had his first run for the Cluning camp over the mile at Cranbourne last time when a despised outsider but he ran out of his skin I thought, closing with real purpose late behind Leg Drive when second. If he runs up to that effort here, he’s in the mix as a threat.

9 Leonchroi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top in what looks a rather open contest. He ran over 2500m three weeks ago at Pakenham. He got a suck run on the fence and looked the winner when he dashed but nearer the inside was quicksand and he was no match late for Shockletz. Knocking on the door and strikes a winnable race.

3 Hot Too Go (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Danny O’Brien trained gelding that ran third over this track/distance last time out. He sat near the speed throughout and did try his guts out but just lacked the turn of foot to win when third to Navy Heart. Good racing style and will keep chipping away.

1 Eagle Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) put together a couple of solid wins under the belt before going to Pakenham three weeks ago. He sat on speed and seemed to get his chance but when asked for the effort, he was a bit on the one paced side. He can bounce back with his racing style.

I think 4 Moana Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can measure up here for Team McEvoy. She debuted at Morphettville Parks on Dec 6 where she faced two rivals, not much chop, but the way she put them away was quite impressive. Love the way she went in a recent Flemington jumpout, she seems suited at the short course, I think she can make it 2/2.

1 Torture (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up for Team Hayes, having not raced since a first up win at start one in the Debutant at Caulfield on Oct 15, sitting just off speed and finished best to win. Moved well in a recent Flemington jumpout, watch betting.

5 Murshidi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Maurice colt for Ciaron Maher that is on debut. He has had there jumpouts to get ready for start one and for the most part has been pretty good. Maps to stalk the speed, bred to be strong late, watch betting.

Landed with 1 Job Done (Bet Now:  $SP.00). 2/2 this time in, both wins coming at Caulfield Heath, the latest being two weeks ago when a short priced favourite and just had enough in hand after sitting wide throughout. Tricky draw, but will press forward and gets in well after the claim.

2 Miss Ole (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Clinton McDonald trained filly that resumes. This girl hasn’t raced since the Winter when taking out the Next Generation Final down the straight at Flemington. Just two soft jumpouts for her return but she looks quite talented, so watch betting.

7 Jewel Bandit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here off the back of a surprise debut win at Cranbourne. Market didn’t want her but she got back and produced a brilliant finale from off speed to score. Maps to do no work in the run and be effective late. Must for exotics at a price.

Keen to be with 5 Ahha Ahha (Bet Now:  $SP.00). On the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Cranbourne where she just got too far out of her ground but liked the way she finished her race off in defeat. Has a gate to settle much closer and overall, this isn’t a deep race. Keen.

2 Flyer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was off a freshen up when racing two weeks back at Caulfield Heath. She seemed to get into a reasonable spot in transit but when asked for the effort, she just whacked in the run to the line, suggesting she may have needed that hitout. Better for the run, her best is good enough to threaten.

10 Delta Sky (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds for Team Hope. She ran last behind Stealth Of Night at Sandown where she was back in the run and on a day where up/in was dynamite, she was never really a factor. Better suited here I feel, she’s a knockout hope.

3 Modown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a solid each way gamble. He ran in the VOBIS Gold Bullion at Pakenham where he just got too far out of his ground but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Persian Spirit. Maps to settle much closer and hard fit, he appeals.

5 Harry’s Yacht (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Cranbourne. The track was playing a touch leaderish but even allowing for that, I thought he was there to win but just whacked late behind Chergui. Hard fit and 1400m I like for him here, he’s a key threat.

8 Stylish (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing on Ballarat Cup Day over 1400m. She lobbed into a good spot in transit near the speed and was there to win but couldn’t quite get past Waimarie. Lands in a plum spot once again and should be around the mark.

1 Big Swinger (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take a power of beating for Charlotte Littlefield. He looked the winner when presented three weeks ago at Pakenham but just found one better in Recon, who had a 7kg weight pull and I reckon that was the difference in the end. He’s racing well without winning but does appear very well suited here.

4 Naval Academy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up a little while but is holding his form really well. He copped heat on speed at Pakenham and was entitled to knock right up but he stayed on and was far from disgraced in defeat. His racing style is suited to this track so I say he’s dangerous.

2 Carbonados (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Hayes trained gelding that was a strong winner fresh at Randwick on Cup Day before going to Rosehill where he had a suck run in behind but didn’t fire and was quite plain late. Hit and miss but his best is clearly good enough.

1 Holymanz (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Ciaron Maher after sharing the spoils with Precious Charm in the Werribee Cup, driving hard late after getting held up. Tick over jumpout last week was quite solid and he was an impressive winner in this race last year. Rates highly.

9 Ocean Beyond (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after an impressive win at the Bool on Wednesday in the Woodford Cup, giving them a start and a beating in a very impressive performance. He has run well at this level before and with his confidence up, he commands respect.

4 Verdad (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1700m after racing over 2025m at Cranbourne last Saturday where he seemingly got into a decent spot in transit just off speed but just whacked in the run to the line. Back in trip and hard fit, his best is good enough.

16 Naifah (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found positive form again for Price/Kent and she can go on with it. She pushed stablemate Job Done all the way two weeks ago at Caulfield Heath but he just got the better of Naifah in a close finish. Would have loved her stay at 1100m but 1200m, with her racing style on this track, I think she’ll run a beauty.

3 Hearcomesthestar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing really well at the moment for John Moloney. Strong winner two back at Cranbourne before going to Pakenham three weeks back when getting too far back despite drawing well but did close off strongly late in the piece.

11 Supercilious (Bet Now:  $SP.00) resumed in the Magic Millions 3&4YO race two weeks ago at Caulfield Heath where she ran a credible race behind Gin A Tonic where that horse continued the purple patch, getting front end control and gave nothing else a look in, but this mare was far from disgraced.

I reckon there is a great roughie here in the last via 4 Blakmax (Bet Now:  $SP.00). He resumed over 1200m at Pakenham in a strong 84 when back off speed and was never a factor when last behind Recon. Was given a 1200m jumpout at Cranbourne last week with a jumps rider on board and he looked to be absolutely walking alongside his rivals in the jumpout. I think he’s worth a throw at the stumps, especially back to 70 grade.

6 Supernima (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1400m after racing over 1200m two weeks ago at Caulfield Heath. He got into a decent spot off speed and chased with purpose in the straight but couldn’t quite get there when fourth to on speed winner Celsius Star. He should appreciate the rise in trip and seemingly strikes a winnable race.

11 Freak Of Nature (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a sneaky good run at Caulfield Heath two weeks back behind Celsius Star. 1200m is a trip clearly short of his best and he was last in the run, never really threatening, but kept chasing in a definite pass mark. Fitter, 1400m, can settle closer, dangerous.
