A bumper ten event program has been set down for Ascot this Saturday, highlighted by the WA Oaks (2400m). The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out ten metres for the entire circuit.

5 Slip The Jab (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Luke Fernie and confident he can measure up and make it 3/3 this time in. Latest was at this track/distance at the midweeks when giving them a start and a beating. Good test here, but the way he’s racing, I think he’ll run really well.

2 Swingman (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after racing last Saturday over 1200m here. He sat on speed throughout and tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite see it through when second. Like him back in trip. Just depends if there is petrol left in the tank.

1 Snitzalatte (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an Adam Durrant trained filly that resumes. She was quite busy when last in work and just looked a tired horse towards the end. She has class and it will carry her a long way so watch betting.

5 God’s Hammer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) could be a real left field option for the Karrakatta/Sires. Dan Morton trained colt that debuts and has looked sharp in a couple of trial wins, both over 1000m, so he’s had the good grounding and strikes a winnable race for mine.

7 Divine Mirage (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good racing style and will look the winner I dare say for a fair chunk of this race. She ran over 1000m here last Wednesday where she attempted to lead throughout and gave a decent sight from the front but just felt the pinch. If she gets front end control, she’ll run a beauty.

6 Unanswered (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Cool Aza Beel that debuts for Simon Miller. He hasn’t looked too bad in trial work to get ready for start one and although he may be better suited over further, I’d say watch betting.

I’m with 3 Sentimental Legend (Bet Now:  $SP.00). Liked him two weeks ago in the JC Roberts and tried his guts out but couldn’t quite fend off Aberdeen Flyer when second. He’s tough, has upside I feel and do think getting to 2200m will be no issue. Hard to beat.

1 Aberdeen Flyer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won the JC Roberts and he was impressive the way he gave them a start and a beating. Really liked the way he knuckled down late when asked to fend them off and score. 2200m should be fine, he commands respect.

4 Wynn Las Vegas (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 2200m after a maiden win over the mile at Pinjarra where he led throughout, looked a moral on paper and duly saluted. Clearly more depth here, but he looks talented and think he can measure up.

5 Girls Day Out (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat. She attempted to lead throughout three weeks ago over 1200m at Bunbury, giving a really good kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through. Should get front end control here and prove hard to get past.

1 Lucky I Am (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat. She ran over 1200m here a fortnight back, leading and giving a decent sight but the end of 1200m just saw her out. Like her back in trip and should be around the mark.

8 Rise To Glory (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1100m after racing over 1200m at the mideeeks at Pinjarra. He got off speed and was never a winning threat but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off. He’ll spot them a start but be strong late and can win.

8 The Crimson Pirate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat for Dan Morton. He comes back to 1600m after racing two weeks ago in the JC Roberts when near the speed and thought he was there to win but just didn’t quite run the trip out. Like him back in trip and is one of the hardest to beat.

3 Miss Skyhigh (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should love getting to the mile after racing over 1400m three weeks ago at Bunbury when off speed and was good late without threatening when fourth to Avoidance. Like her up in trip and towards peak fitness, she clearly appeals.

4 Asif (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 1800m two weeks back here where he seemed to have his chance but just whacked late behind Royal Toronado. Back in trip I like and prior efforts were quite sound.

I want to give 1 Wonderfully Made (Bet Now:  $SP.00) another chance. Yes, beaten as an odds favourite in the Natasha, but I thought the ride was terribly negative from Pike, leaving the filly with far too much to do. The 1000 Guineas win was arrogant and I do think she is much better when ridden with intent.

2 Masmelo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was an impressive winner of the Natasha. She was back and good late in the 1000 Guineas but in the Natasha, she was ridden with far more intent and the end result was an impressive win. 2400m is no issue, she’s a key chance.

5 Heavenly Rapture (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout hope. Gave them a start and a beating to win two back before going to the Natasha where she got to near last in the run and while she was never threatening, she kept chasing and was quite good in defeat. If within range, she’s dangerous.

4 Touretto (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1800m after racing five weeks ago over the mile here when off speed and made up some headway without threatening. Maps to settle much closer in the run and be hard to hold out.

1 Noble Connection (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1800m after a win over the mile here a fortnight back when on speed throughout and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to score. If the trip is fine, then he’s a leading contender.

2 The Jester’s Son (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was an impressive track/distance winner from two weeks back. He led throughout and was impressive in winning, giving nothing else a look in. Harder here but commands respect.

9 Too Darn Stormy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. He has been freshened up since Jan 31 when a first up placegetter over 1100m here when off speed and seemingly had his chance but was still good in defeat. Better for the run I feel and a tick over trial was quite good. Happy to be in his corner.

7 So Nataya (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1200m after racing over 1400m here four weeks ago. She got into a reasonable spot in transit just off speed and was there to win but just whacked late. Fresh legs and back to 1200m, she’s a clear danger.

1 Military Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is two weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when off speed and just battled late in the piece. Not sure he is a horse I could back to win but is one for exotics I reckon.

3 Axeman’s Jazz (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to resume a winner. Very interesting runner given he hasn’t raced since Feb last year when making it 2/2 for the prep. Has clearly had issues but clearly has an engine under the hood and loved the way he went in a recent trial. He’s here to play for mine.

1 Madame Magic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1200m here two weeks ago when off speed and made up decent headway without threatening behind Horcrux. Fitter and up to 1400m, she’ll only run well.

6 Dug Another Hole (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Bunbury. He got into a decent spot in transit near the speed and thought he was there to win but just couldn’t quite finish the job. Racing well and should be around the mark.

2 Immortal Bliss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the starting point here. He is several weeks between runs since a track/distance win, knuckling down with purpose to wear down the in form Sonoftheboss. Tricky gate but with luck, will take beating.

5 September Born (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a class mare for Neville Parnham that resumes. She did nice things when last in work without winning, but did place on a couple of occasions. No public trials but she has the class/quality to take this out.

1 Sky Duke (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been freshened up since Feb 7 in the Cyril Flower when on speed and fought hard but had no answers late for Almighty Class. Good racing style, he’ll be in it for a long way.
