An eight event program has been set down for Geelong on Tuesday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out six metres for the entire circuit.

2 Just Explosive (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but this is a bludger of a race to start the meeting. He comes through a track/distance maiden where he got off speed and seemingly had his chance but was very one paced in the straight when second. Getting Craig Williams aboard helps and I think that could be enough to get him home.

1 Cool King (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third in the race mentioned above. He was pretty much in an identical boat to Just Explosive. Suck run, angled out, loomed but was very one paced and had no turn of foot at all. Maps to get a similar run and with that 2400m run under the belt, he appeals.

9 Ludicrous (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a big price but we saw in this sort of race a couple of weeks ago that a $201 chance won. These races just have no depth and she hasn’t been too bad when racing over this distance. For wider exotics, she can be entertained.

2 Stardom Awaayts (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning, but similar to the first race…it’s a punish. He ran over 2150m at Terang last start. He got back off the speed and was held up at times before angling clear and finished off strongly in defeat behind Star Testymony. Racing like the rise in trip suits, happy to have him on top.

1 Star Testymony (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won that race mentioned above at Terang before going to this track/distance where he was just fair and was good late. That form was franked big time with Highland Blaze coming out to bolt up on Friday night at The Valley, so keen to see how he goes.

8 Pahi Lass (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like a rise in trip will suit after racing over 1950m at Yarra Valley last time out where she got back to near last in the run but really liked the way she closed off in defeat. Likely spots them a start but should be strong at the end.

I think the market flips and 10 Steadfast (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will start favourite come jump time. She resumed over 1000m on her home deck at Cranbourne where it just looked like she was there for a barrier trial, getting back to last, run off her legs and only got warm very late. Straight to 1400m, can settle closer and take beating.

7 Maycomb (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should improve off the first up run over this trip at Pakenham where she got off speed and seemingly had every chance…disappointing I thought when third. Better for the run and she does have a touch of quality so she commands respect…but I doubt she’ll start favourite.

2 Bon Fete (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds. This filly resumed over this trip in a Sale maiden where she got off speed and while she was never really a winning threat, she kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat. Dangerou at odds if the inside gate can be used to advantage.

1 Comancheria (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat. He resumed over 1400m at Sake where he chased strongly in the straight but just found one better in Pro Aussie, who was on speed and far too good. Better for that under the belt, can settle closer and be effective late.

9 Fontaine Rouge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat for Ciaron Maher. Caught the eye I thought fresh at Bendigo behind Hionado before going to Mornington where I thought she was a good thing but gee she was plain in the straight and didn’t fire a shot behind Mary Eliza. Hard fit now and in a thin maiden, I say she commands respect.

7 Highland Delta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will appreciate a rise to 1500m after debuting over 1200m at Cranbourne where he got run off his legs and while he was never a winning threat, his finale was solid enough to my eye. He’ll get back again I think but should be strong late and is one for exotics.

8 Wind Blast (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Vadamos on debut for Team Hayes. This guy is having start one off the back of three jumpouts this time in, winning the last two and moving quite nicely. He was hard to beat on paper at Pakenham on Thursday so bit surprised he is a big price here vs what he was there.

1 Feedback (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given respect after resuming over 1000m at Werribee where he was wide no cover throughout and despite the hard run, he stayed on and was game in defeat when fourth. If he can get luck from the tricky draw, he’s dangerous against these.

2 Gobinda (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Rubick that debuts for Cliff Brown. He has had two jumpouts in readiness for start one, the latest seeing him run fifth at Caulfield Heath and seemed to move well enough to my eye. Market watch for sure, especially with this stable.

2 Head’em (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will welcome the drop back to this level and a bending track. He ran down the straight at Flemington last time out where he looked outclassed on paper and ran accordingly behind Wolfy. Back to 64 grade and back a fair way in depth, he can run a much improved race, and seems a big enough price.

8 Pick N Mix (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is getting towards D-Day if they think she’s good. Beat them up on debut at Cranbourne before going to Mornington where she led, looked home, but stopped badly late and had to settle for a third. If she leads and gets control, she’ll take running down.

4 Stellar Mofeed (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to be entertained as a knockout chance after resuming over 1200m at Mornington when on speed and tried hard but condition just gave way late in the piece. Perhaps with a more patient steer, she’ll be more effective.

2 Tatsu (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it for the Kennewell/Yeomans camp. He ran over this trip at Werribee last time where he landed on speed and looked to be trucking before being clicked up and away he went to win and win well. He can win again in what looks a winnable race.

12 Navy Heart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Ciaron Maher trained filly that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Aug 28 at Sandown when on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite finish the job when third to Hurricane George. Jumped out well enough and resuming at 1400m I find interesting. Watch the market.

5 Docinthe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds for Mitch Freedman. He resumed at Stawell where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was good I thought. Better for that run, he’s dangerous at a price.

8 Cat Noir (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in the get out. Jamie Edwards trained mare that is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. She ran at Camperdown last time where I don’t think the track was to her liking but her finale was more than sound I thought. More positive ride, I think she’ll take beating.

1 Rezone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the talent to do a number of these. Just not sure where he is at after a very plain run at Randwick last time behind Saltcoats where he got back and was never a factor, finishing down the track. If he brings his best, he wins…but after last run, I can’t back him with confidence.

10 Muppet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has come back in beast mode for Archie Alexander and is one of the key chances. 2/2 this prep, the latest coming over this trip at Warrnambool where she gave them a start and a beating, and was impressive late the way she won. Think she measures up.
