Bletchingly Stakes 🏆: View the Field and Odds for the Bletchingly Stakes
Race 1. (12:10) Senet Gambling Law Experts Handicap 1200m
1 Cherish Me (Bet Now: $SP.00) has class on her side and I’ll bank on that getting her home. She resumes for Ciaron Maher, having not raced since the Blue Diamond when off speed and just battled in the run to the line behind Devil Night. Looks to have jumped out really well for the return, watch betting because I think she’s here to go en route to early Spring targets.
2 Ole Dancer (Bet Now: $SP.00) is an interesting runner. She resumes for Moody/Coleman off the back of a debut in the SA Magic Millions at Murray Bridge, getting better as the race went on to win well, albeit her rivals weren’t strong. That said, she has looked sharp in jumpout work for the return. Commands respect.
3 Autumn Mystery (Bet Now: $SP.00) will be strong late despite being near the back. He is still a maiden but he looks a horse with an engine under the hood. He hasn’t raced since the Blue Diamond when far from disgraced in defeat behind Devil Night. He’ll be strong late. Just depends where he gets to in the run.
Race 2. (12:45) Catanach's Jewellers Handicap 1100m
7 Gala Queen (Bet Now: $SP.00) is the one to beat I feel. She is a very sharp filly for Phillip Stokes that resumes, having not raced since March 22 in the Alexandra at The Valley when back off speed and forced wide on the turn but just whacked late, perhaps end of prep. Given a good break and her recent jumpout work has been electric. Keen.
10 Pop Award (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Tolson/Proctor trained mare that resumes. She really came of age when last in work, winning 3/3 before being spelled. She looks the potential to be Stakes class and has jumped out well so watch betting and see what it does.
4 Bold Print (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Rachael Cunningham trained gelding that is first up. His last run came at The Valley over 955m when far from disgraced in defeat behind Shirshov. Looks to have jumped out well for the return and good lead that Craig Williams is booked.
Race 3. (13:20) Vobis Gold Stayers 2400m
If 2 Jimmy The Bear (Bet Now: $SP.00) sees out the 2400m, he looks the likely winner. He won the VOBIS Gold Heath two weeks ago, showcasing his class in a strong display, proving far too good for his rivals. Hard to knock the way he’s racing and for mine, 2400m is fine.
6 Chihuly (Bet Now: $SP.00) is second pick, but well and truly a distant second pick. He ran fourth in the race mentioned above from a fortnight back and didn’t mind his finale, getting back off speed and kept finding the line without threatening. 2400m is a query, but the lack of depth helps the cause.
5 Dictionary (Bet Now: $SP.00) ran well in this race last year and I think is on track to do something similar. He ran two weeks back in the VOBIS Gold Heath over 2000m when back in the run and just found them a bit sharp behind Jimmy The Bear. Better set up here, he is a first four threat.
Race 4. (13:55) Mrc Chairman's Club Handicap 2400m
2 American Wolf (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks hard to beat for Busuttin/Young after racing over 2000m here two weeks ago off a freshen up. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, I really liked the way he closed his race off in defeat behind Stop The Rock. Fitter and up in trip, keen on his prospects.
3 Ant (Bet Now: $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since contesting the Mahogany Final at Flemington. He got a lovely run in transit, tracking up, before angling wider and looked the winner when presented but just found one better in Shockletz. Racing well and is one of the key threats.
15 Procean (Bet Now: $SP.00) ran third to Stop The Rock two weeks back here. He got back in the run and spotted those in front a tidy start but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat. If eh can settle closer and be within range, he can win.
Race 5. (14:30) Sportsbet Feed Handicap 1200m
7 Noetzie (Bet Now: $SP.00) could be a rocket for Phillip Stokes. Only time will tell but the win at Murray Bridge two weeks ago was outstanding, leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win quite impressively. Good test here, but off the win last time, I think he’ll measure up.
1 Salsa Fellow (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a key chance for Henry Dwyer after racing over 1100m here a fortnight back, getting a fair way out of his ground but worked home with real purpose late in the piece when a narrow second to Scampi. If he can settle closer in the run, he’ll take holding out.
11 Damehood (Bet Now: $SP.00) is an improving type for Ciaron Maher after resuming at Cranbourne. She got a fair way out of her ground but loved the way she closed off late in the piece behind Central Bank. She then went to Bendigo and was good late but spotted those in front too much head start. Fitter, she’ll be strong late…just needs to be within range.
Race 6. (15:10) Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap 1100m
10 Delicate Lady (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes striaght to town for Jerome Hunter off the back of a sharp first up win at Bendigo where the market gravitated towards her and she made a mess of her rivals to win and win well. Gets right down in the weights after the claim, good racing style, she appeals.
6 Shadhavar (Bet Now: $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came two weeks ago at this track/distance when on speed throughout and seemingly had his chance but was just a bit on the weak side late in the piece behind Scampi. Better for the run, good racing style and has a touch of quality about her.
12 Vain Champagne (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a first four threat. Nick Ryan trained filly that has been freshened up since June 28 when a solid fourth over 1200m here behind Xarpo, getting a decent sit in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. One for exotics.
Race 7. (15:50) Stow Storage Solutions Handicap 1600m
3 Munhamek (Bet Now: $SP.00) is flying for Nick Ryan. He wins the Winter Championship Final three weeks ago I think if he got clear air, but just got held up at the wrong stage before eventually getting clear air and attacked the line strongly late. Tick over jumpout last week was outstanding, keen on his prospects.
10 Regal Vow (Bet Now: $SP.00) gets serious weight relief from a fortnight back over 1400m here when just off speed and seemed to have her chance behind Zou Sensation when fourth. The rise to the mile is ideal and gets Willow, as well as tumbling in weight.
8 Seonee (Bet Now: $SP.00) ran over 1400m here a fortnight back when getting off speed and although she was never really a winning threat, she kept finding the line and was pretty good late behind the in form Zou Sensation. Like her up in trip, she commands respect.
Race 8. (16:25) Bletchingly Stakes 1200m
3 Baraqiel (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Corstens/Larkin trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, and he does look a horse that has very good talent…potentially Group l talent, but it is a make or break prep. Jumpout work has been strong and he does have a touch of class on his side.
4 Inhibitions (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes through the Santa Ana Lane Final from three weeks ago at Flemington. She just found them a bit sharp but she stayed on and was really good in defeat I thought behind Marble Nine. Fitter, back to a bending track, she appeals.
2 Kallos (Bet Now: $SP.00) resumed two weeks abck here in the Monash. He got back off speed and keot chasing but was never really threatening I thought behind In Flight. Fitter and up in trip, he can run an improved race at odds.
Race 9. (16:55) Sportsbet More Places Handicap 1400m
6 Keep Ya Cool (Bet Now: $SP.00) is the safe play. Ciaron Maher trained mare that ran third to Home Rule two weeks ago at this track/distance. She got into a decent spot in transit just off the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Think with a more positive ride, she takes beating.
13 Pariah Pearl (Bet Now: $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Flemington in the Rising Stars Final when on speed and tried hard but just felt the pinch late in a blanket finish. Like her back to 1400m, she’ll press forward and tumbles in weight.
4 Home Rule (Bet Now: $SP.00) won two weeks back at this track/distance. He was an impressive winner I thought, leading throughout and credit to him. he was there to be run down but he found and was strong to the line. Off that effort, he has to be given respect.
