25/10/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Morphettville

2 Portarlington (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be taking care of these. Not a deep race and he looks the standout from the trials, winning on the Parks track last week and moving really well when winning comfortably, running time as well. Should make a winning debut.

1 Blandford Tuesday (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Inhabit a fortnight back at Murray Bridge. He sat on speed throughout and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job but was game in defeat when second. Better for the run and the extra 150m should be fine. Leading contender.

4 Rebel Tuesday (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver up in trip. She ran third two weeks ago at Murray Bridge behind Inhabit when off speed and tried hard but was held late, with 1-2 out being 1-2 home. The rise to 1050m looks ideal and this isn’t a deep contest overall.

4 Salsita (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Team Browne. He has been around the mark this prep but hasn’t quite gone on with it. Latest run was over this trip at Mornington when just off the speed and was there to win but just whacked. If this becomes a proper staying contest, he’ll come to the fore.

2 Arugamama (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found positive form and she can go on with it. She ran over 2000m two weeks ago at Murray Bridge when off speed and worked home really well when second to Dark’N’Confidential. Positive form is found and the rise to 2500m should be fine.

3 Smiling Assassin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a veteran that won two back at Warrnambool, handling conditions best. He then came back to 2000m here last Saturday and just found them too sharp behind Guru Warrior. Much better suited at 2500m, he can run an improved race.

1 Act Natural… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) surely his time is now? Bursting to win a maiden for Phillip Stokes but keeps finding one or two better. Latest run was over 1000m at Sandown when leading and he gave a strong kick from the front but was nabbed late by Proficient. Good racing style, back miles in grade/depth, he’s top seed and clearly.

6 Light The Night (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Earthlight that resumes for the in form Andrew Gluyas camp. He had two runs as a juvenile, the latest seeing him place in a maiden over this trip at Balaklava in a good effort in defeat. Loved his trial win here last week, he’s a key chance.

4 Ruled By Thieves (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix for Scott Whittle. He ran in a Horsham maiden last Sunday when off speed and worked home well enough in defeat when fourth. He’ll be strong late, just depends what start he concedes.

6 Zebella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came a few weeks ago at Morphettville Parks when attempting to lead throughout and she gave a strong kick from the front but just felt the pinch late in the piece. Better for the run, and I think with a bunny to chase, she’s dangerous.

1 Sir Now (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came three weeks ago at Morphettville where he just did a bit too much work on speed and just felt the pinch late in the piece behind Grinzinger Prince. He’s a tough bugger, very genuine. Not penning him.

7 Starlite Valley (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after racing over 1100m at Murray Bridge two weeks back. She was far from disgraced in defeat behind Lucky Duck but she did get a fair way out of her ground and for mine, she is a much better horse when on speed. Dangerous if that eventuates.

2 Hot Statement (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Team Jolly since an impressive first up win over 1050m here in a maiden. He was just off the speed and trucking before being clicked up and away he went to win and win well. Not a deep race this and off such a sharp return, he has to be top seed.

1 Battle Of The Ice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Lloyd Kennewell trained three year old that resumes off the back of a debut win at Kyneton back in May when on speed and was trucking before being clicked up and away he went to win well. Jumped out well leading in, a key chance.

7 Bending Away (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after a maiden win on Sunday at Mindarie-Halidon where she was wide throughout before coming wider for clear air and in a driving go, finished best to score. Confidence is up, she’s a first four threat.

3 King Of Wessex (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. He won over 1950m at Morphettville Parks when getting the sweet sit in transit just off speed before being presented clear air and finished best in a driving go to score. He’s found winning form, he can win again.

2 The Mansman (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs for Phillip Stokes since racing at Morphettville Parks over 1950m. He was there to win in the straight but had no answers late for Guru Warrior, who won last Satruday, so the form reads well and a tick over trial was a solid piece of work.

4 Lomax (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well without winning. He ran fourth to Dark’N’Confidential a fortnight back at Murray Bridge over this trip. He got into a decent spot off speed and did try hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job. Not sure he wins, but is a must for exotics.

Life ban is in order for 12 Pelevecchio (Bet Now:  $SP.00) if she can’t put these away. She ran over the mile here three weeks ago and in the run, she looked all over the winner, but on the turn, she lost her momentum and lost the plot it seemed when third to Grinzinger Halo. If she brings her best, she has lengths on these.

9 Bolt By (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got into a decent spot off speed and did try hard but just couldn’t quite get there. That said, he was still game in defeat behind Dark’N’Confidential. Good track/distance record, he’ll be around the mark.

1 Yuri Royale (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third to Dark’N’Confidential from two weeks back. He got into a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third, beaten around 2.5L. Good racing style and was scratched from a much weaker race to run here.

4 Touchdown… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) less said the better re the ride from last start at Ballarat. Whoever thought that was the best way to ride the horse, they shouldn’t be in charge of tactics ever again. Dragged all the way back, got back to near last, and made up a stack of ground but was never winning. Half positive ride this time around, he’ll take beating.

11 High Garden (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Sep 13 over 1800m when on speed and tried hard but had no answers late for Anthracite, who looks Stakes class, so the form reads super and a tick over trial was more than encouraging. Key threat, if any.

3 I Need A Drink (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after resuming over 1400m at Murray Bridge where he just found them a bit sharp but was far from disgraced in defeat. Better set up here, in well after the claim…first four contender.

8 Streetcar Fury (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was ridden with intent two weeks ago at Murray Bridge and duly saluted, finishing best in a driving go to get the job done. He had been knocking on the door all prep and now his confidence is up, he can win again.

10 Round Two (Bet Now:  $SP.00) likely jumps on the bunny and takes running down. Hasn’t race since Sep 20 when racing over 1250m on the Parks track when leading and giving a solid kick but couldn’t quite see it through, nabbed late by Zunna. Tick over trial was sharp and like him back to 1050m.

6 Vintage Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Team Jolly. He resumed two weeks back at Murray Bridge. He landed in a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when fourth to Streetcar Fury. Better for the run and has a good track/distance record.

BEST BET: Race Seven Number 12 Pelevecchio

NEXT BEST: Race Eight Number 4 Touchdown

LONG SHOT: Race Two Number 4 Salsita
