21/3/2026 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Ascot, Rock Magic Stakes day

Ten races will be run and won at Ascot this Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out eight metres for the entire circuit.

2 Swingman (Bet Now: $3.70) should prove hard to beat for Jim Taylor after a win at Bunbury two weeks ago, ridden with plenty of intent when leading and giving nothing else a look in. He’s flying and rates highly against these.

1 Country God (Bet Now: $5.50) ran midfield behind Swingman a fortnight back at Bunbury. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, I really liked the way he closed off. Hard to beat if he can settle closer.

6 Holler Nuff (Bet Now: $6.00) ran third to Swingman at Bunbury two weeks back. He got a fair way out of his ground but was a real eye catcher late in the piece. If he can settle closer, he’ll be effective late and can win.

5 Wicked Venom (Bet Now: $12.00) is hard to beat after a track/distance placing last Wednesday where he got back to near last in the run and worked home really well when second. Genuine animal and should take beating in what looks a winnable race.

2 Earth God (Bet Now: $3.10) comes back to 1000m after racing last Saturday over 1200m here when on speed throughout and tried hard but just felt the pinch late. Like him back in trip and strikes a winnable race.

6 Main Act (Bet Now: $34.00) is just under five weeks between runs since racing here. He ran over 1200m when landing in a plum spot and was there to win but just felt the pinch. Fresh legs and 1000m, he’s a threat at odds.

3 Repossession (Bet Now: $3.80) looks the short course type here and with that in mind, he’s top seed for me. He hasn’t raced since the Summer Carnival where he ended the prep with a couple of runs at 1200m and ran well without winning. 1000m looks ideal for him, he should land on speed and take beating.

1 Oscar’s Fortune (Bet Now: $2.50) it is a pretty thin race with the small field. The class horse of the race is definitely Oscar’s Fortune. If he is to bounce back then you’d think it would have to be in this race as he won’t get an easier race to win.

5 Stormchaser (Bet Now: $9.00) is a Luke Fernie trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since Oct 4 in the Golden Saddle when down the track but did look a tired horse. Resumes without a trial, but first up here…I think watch the market.

6 Celestial Storm (Bet Now: $5.50) is six weeks between runs since running second at this track/distance to the very much in form Santanova. She landed in a good spot in transit and tried hard but just had no answers late. Lands in a plum spot here, races well on the fresh side, hard to beat.

1 Cut The Talk (Bet Now: $9.50) is pretty much first up here. He last raced two months ago in the Scenic Boast when on speed and was game in defeat behind Jaz Session, who was flying at the time. Fresh at 1000m, will press forward and be around the mark.

4 Tycoon Harry (Bet Now: $3.20) is on the seven day back up for Jim Taylor after racing last Saturday at this track/distance when on speed snd for the most part was hailed as the winner, but had to settle for a narrow second to Pingers. Good racing style, he appeals.

2 He’s A Machino (Bet Now: $7.50) looks a really nice horse for Team Casey and he could easily stamp himself as a Karrakatta contender with a first up win here. His debut win back in December was sharp and he looked like a rocket in a recent trial win. If he’s here to play, he’s the one to beat.

5 Aurum Belle (Bet Now: $1.35) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win on debut, leading throughout and she gave nothing else a look in. Looks to land on speed and will take running down.

7 Snow Monkey (Bet Now: $6.00) ran second to Aurum Belle in the race mentioned above. She got beaten for early speed and got back but I did like the way she finished her race off. If she can settle closer, she’s dangerous.

2 Corn Cob (Bet Now: $13.00) should appreciate getting to 1400m after resuming over 1200m at Bunbury where he got back to near last in the run and I really liked the way he finished his race off, clocking good late splits in the process. Can be ridden with far more intent, he’s a clear threat.

1 Influencing (Bet Now: $2.45) will have to carry the big weight in the race but he is the class horse in this race. He should get the gun run from the barrier and is fit and ready to win the race based on his two runs this preparation. Looks the big danger.

3 Hostile Talk (Bet Now: $16.00) resumed over 1200m at Bunbury as well. He was wide with cover in the run but never really got into the contest so I want to be forgiving. Maps much better this time around, he’s a knockout hope.

9 Searchin Times (Bet Now: $1.80) is a talented filly that has earned a crack at Saturday grade after a dominant win at the mideeeks at Belmont, giving them a start and a beating, getting better as the race went on. Confident she can measure up against these.

2 Blazing Emerald (Bet Now: $15.00) steps up to 1500m after resuming over 1400m here three weeks ago. She got back to near last in the run and was quite good late. Hard to beat if she can settle closer in the run.

7 Choux Shoe (Bet Now: $31.00) is in with a shout. She ran two weeks back over 1200m at Bunbury where she got back and made up some headway but was never really threatening. Like her up in trip and her best is good enough to threwten.

2 True Player (Bet Now: $2.50) on top for me. I thought it was an impressive win at Bunbury two weeks ago, making a sustained run from off speed and in the end, was just too tough and too good. He’s found winning form, he can certainly go on with it against this lot.

4 Audio Boy (Bet Now: $4.80) ran third to True Player from a fortnight back at Bunbury. He got off the pace and tried hard as he always does but did seemingly have his chance. Honest animal that is hard fit, racing well, he’ll be around the mark.

11 Queen Of Jerusalem (Bet Now: $31.00) is in the mix I say. Real eye catching performance last Wednesday at this track/distance, getting back to near last in the run but worked home with real purpose when third. If within range, she has the finale to be dangerous.

10 Essentric Nature (Bet Now: $5.00) should take beating here for Team Williams after resuming two weeks ago at Bunbury where he got a fair way out of his ground and worked home with real purpose in a good effort in defeat. Fitter, rising in trip, he takes beating.

5 Fast Flicker (Bet Now: $7.50) comes through the Bunbury Stakes from a fortnight back when off speed and was held up at times but loved the way she kept chasing when second to Bonjoy. More positive ride, she’ll take holding out.

1 Bustler (Bet Now: $15.00) ran two weeks back in the Bunbury Stakes when off speed and keen in the run. Yes, he was held up at times, but he had his chance. Hard fit now, his best is good enough to be dangerous.

8 Malletier (Bet Now: $2.45) seems a relatively straight bat play. Three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, getting the suck run in transit before angling clear and knuckled down with purpose to score. Tricky gate this time around but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

2 Prawns Eleven (Bet Now: $9.50) comes to town off the back of a win at the mideeeks at Pinjarra. He had the pattern in his corner but even allowing for that, he was dominant and arrogant. He can take the step to Saturday grade here.

7 Rolling Ruler (Bet Now: $4.20) steps up to 1200m after racing over 1000m last Saturday here. He got the suck run in behind and launched late but just missed. If 1200m is okay, he’s right in the mix and can take this out.

NEXT BEST: Race Nine Number 10 Essentric Nature

LONG SHOT: Race Six Number 4 On Patrol
