2 Paddy’s Flyin’ (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is indeed flying for David Harrison and is one of the key chances. Just over two weeks between runs since winning down the straight at Pinjarra, letting down hard from off the speed to score, landing good bets in the process. That was his first run since July 6 so with good upside to come, he appeals

7 Fast Flicker (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. Tony Triscari trained mare that resumes, having not raced since her debut win at Esperance Bay back in November when giving them a start and a beating in an electric debut win. Spelled soon after and has had two trials at Lark Hill to prepare. That form reads inferior on paper, but that maiden has produced four winners, so I think watch the market and see what it does.

2 Sapphire Street (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given another chance. Three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance where she was given a poor ride by Pike, ridden far too negatively and ended up getting no room to move when seemingly full of running. Pike sticks and no doubt he will be looking to make amends.

4 Dialling (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is still a maiden but I think she has an engine under the hood. She was a drifter in betting when resuming last Wednesday and while the market got it right, she didn’t threaten, I thought she found the line pretty well behind impressive winner Stormchaser. Whether she wants further, not sure, but I think she should be included in wider exotics.

1 Aztec Ruler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. That win came a fortnight back at this track/distance where he lobbed into a beaut spot off the speed under Parnham before angling clear, built proper momentum and the four year old just savaged the line late, winning with a fair amount of arrogance. Potentially can put his hand up for a Railway prep with a win here.

6 Strathmore Rose (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and give them something to chase. Just did a bit too much work outside the speed last time and tired late to finish down the track behind Swim Through. Think if she finds the front and gets some level of control, she could potentially pinch a first four spot at a price.

3 Let’sdeal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win a race for Steve Wolfe. He has been runner up his past two, the latest coming at this track/distance two weeks ago where he kept finding the line from off the speed but just couldn’t quite get there when a narrow second to General Grant. His time is coming and I think it will be here in a very similar race to last time.

2 Bad Wolf (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is unknown at the trip but he does have a bit of quality about him. He steps up to 2200m after racing over the mile two weeks back in the Blue Spec where he just found them a bit sharp when down the track behind Ginger Baker after sitting wide no cover. Not sure he is going well enough to win but can pinch a first four spot at a price.

6 Military Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a leading chance. Jim Taylor trained gelding that won a couple of races to start the prep in good style before going to the Swim Through race mentioned above when on speed and he fought hard, but couldn’t quite finish it off when third. Not sure he has the brilliance to win but he’ll give himself every chance with his racing pattern.

5 Zephyra (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented mare for Simon Miller that rates as one of the hardest to beat. She has been excellent in two runs back from a spell, winning fresh before a gutsy third to Cold Shizzle a fortnight back over 1300m here after leading. Track/distance winner and with good upside, ideal racing pattern, she’ll look the winner for a long way.

If this track was bone dry, I would give 6 Megazone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) a big shout here. Just the rain forecast for Friday and Saturday dampens the confidence but I think he is a must for exotics because he is racing well. He just keeps finding tracks with give in it and the form says he is clearly a better horse on firmer footing. If the rain does miss and we get a dry deck, I think have something small each way on him at a likely big price.

1 Cross Statement (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been excellent in two runs back from a spell for Jim Taylor and rates as one of the hardest to beat. Ran a fortnight back at this track/distance where he attempted to lead throughout and he did give a solid kick from the front but couldn’t quite finish it off, nabbed late by the in form Ponyo. Hard fit, good racing style, he’ll give himself every chance.

7 Penny On The Queen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up for Ashley Maley and potentially could be dangerous at a big price. Her last run came on June 17 over 1300m here where it was an end of prep run, finishing down the track behind War Gem. No public trials, but can pull out a decent run fresh, and the depth, as a whole, isn’t deep here.

4 My Bella Mae (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a quality mare for Dion Luciani that resumes and confident she can record a first up win. She had an outstanding 3YO season, which ended with a two run prep in Victoria where she was probably a tired horse and with hindsight, it was the wrong move. Given a good break and with two sharp trials under the belt, she’s ready to go for this 1000m assignment. Happy to be in her corner.

3 Baby Paris (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Playing God for Colin Webster that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since Quokka Day when beating the older horses in The Joey in impressive fashion, proving that 1200m at that level is no issue. I do think she is a dynamic 1000m horse so resuming at this trip I like and her trial win on Monday was very good.

6 Halatorian (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a horse who can sprint well fresh and I always respect Roy Rogers when he brings runners to town. This guy last raced in The Joey behind Baby Paris where he got back to near last in the run and was never a factor. Resumes without a trial but does have a good fresh record and his best is good enough to be a threat at odds.

5 Starchienne (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be in for a good prep for William Lewthwaite. This mare resumed at this track/distance last Wednesday where she got wide without cover and was entitled to knock up but she kept finding the line and was good late when third to Count The Sessions. If that run hasn’t busted her, she’ll take beating against this lot.

9 Gift Of The Heart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing quite consistently for Roy Rogers and commands respect against these. He has finished runner up his past two, the latest coming two weeks back at the mile here when attempting to lead throughout and giving a solid kick but couldn’t quite finish it off when second to Lucky’s Way. Back to 1400m I like and with some level of control in front, he’ll give cheek.
