2/11/2021 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Eagle Farm

Bit surprised that $7+ is available for 3 Strongbow (Bet Now: $9.00). The market will go one of two ways. He’ll be $7-$4 and bolt up. Or he’ll be $7-$10+ and run like a donkey. But even though the trial on paper was just fair, he was warming up very late and was strong through the line. 1500m on debut I like and finds a very winnable maiden.

2 Caboche (Bet Now: $2.20) is a Chris Waller trained galloper that comes from Sydney and when this usually happens, rarely do they go backwards. He wasn’t too bad last start on the Kenso track on a day where the track was lightning fast. Form around him reads well and is hard to beat.

1 Bump’N’Run (Bet Now: $8.50) hasn’t done much wrong in his three start career. Last couple of runs have come over 1400m at the Gold Coast, the latest seeing him held up for a few strides, but overall, thought he had his chance when third. Not sure I could back him to win here, but a first four threat.

A nothing maiden really. 3 I Am Winkeles (Bet Now: $4.00) on top but not a great deal of confidence. Few weeks between runs when racing in a 1400m maiden at the Sunny Coast and was given a peach. Loomed to win but just lacked the hard fitness to finish it off. Run of the race from the draw and deserves a maiden win.

6 Enterprise Mia (Bet Now: $2.35) should be suited up to the mile for Mick Lakey. This mare was backed with confidence when resuming over 1400m at the Sunny Coast but to my eye, seemingly had every chance when fourth to Gypsy Goddess, an impressive winner. Think that form reads well for this.

10 Kittykittybangbang (Bet Now: $9.50) is a definite winning chance. Ran in a 1350m maiden at Ipswich last start and seemed to get every chance behind the speed and battled on okay behind Think Glory. She’s racing like the mile will suit and overall, the depth is very much on the thin side.

6 Malibu Blaze (Bet Now: $4.20) has less convictions than most engaged here and with the Waller polish, she’ll do me here. Market loved her last start at the Gold Coast but she failed to fire in the small field and was quite disappointing. Has since trialled up well and I think 2200m on the big track here will suit her big time.

3 Khaalis (Bet Now: $2.70) should appreciate rising back up in trip. Dominant win over this trip two back at Doomben. Then came back in distance at Ipswich and just lacked any real change up speed. In the right camp and in a thin race, he has to command respect here against this lot.

I doubt 5 Space Is Deep (Bet Now: $12.00) is good enough to win, but can sneak a first four spot. She was no chance given the race shape at Ipswich last time but battled on okay behind Hostage Of War, who ran a super race on Saturday, so the form doesn’t read too bad for this.

7 Fetch (Bet Now: $2.20) should take a power of beating here for the O’Dea/Hoysted camp. This filly resumed over 1000m at Eagle Farm a few weeks ago. She was kept quite safe in betting and seemed to get every chance when getting inside splits, but couldn’t quite finish it off when fourth to Glorious Ruby. Fitter, she deserves another chance, especially against this lot.

4 Virtuous Miss (Bet Now: $3.70) is a key threat. They tried to get her towards 1200m but freshened up and back to 1050m last time at Doomben, she broke her maiden emphatically and was dominant from near the speed. If this track is suiting those in the first few, which it has done recently, she’ll give cheek.

2 Titanium (Bet Now: $12.00) is a big market watch here. Barry Lockwood trained gelding that resumes. Hasn’t raced since August 15 last year when a solid fourth here behind Love Struck. Over 12 months off, no public trials, but with this stable, I think you have to watch the market.

10 Karlstad (Bet Now: $1.90) should eat up the 1800m here for Chris Waller. Solid fourth at this track/distance three back. Next two runs have come over the mile, and has looked like a horse that wants a rise back up in trip, which he gets here, and finds a very winnable race provided those who ran on Saturday are scratched.

11 Madame Mo (Bet Now: $4.80) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. Market wanted to be with her late over the mile at the Sunny Coast last time and under a lovely steer from Stewart, she finished best, just. Bit more depth here, but 1800m should be fine and has to be respected.

4 Kirkeby (Bet Now: $9.50) is another that should appreciate 1800m. He’s in a similar boat to Karlstad. Last couple of runs have come at the mile and has run well, but has been racing like he would appreciate more ground, which he gets here, and has the Waller polish to give this a shake.

I’m not sure I could dive into the shorts on offer for 4 Ingear (Bet Now: $1.75), but I just can’t see anything else beating her. Both runs back from a break have come at this track/distance, winning first up before a game second to Boom Spender. Back to 75 grade, Maloney on, she looks well placed.

5 Kudu (Bet Now: $3.90) is a son of Spill The Beans that resumes. He hasn’t raced since August 14 over 1500m here when a game second to the then in form Samurai. Interesting he resumes without a trial, but the form around him does read well and he can sprint well fresh, so watch the market.

8 Plutocrat (Bet Now: $8.50) hasn’t done a great deal since her 2YO season but her best is definitely good enough to be in the finish. Resumed at this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout but being first up, she felt the pinch. I think she’ll be more effective with a conservative steer.

I like 8 Simply Fly (Bet Now: $3.80) here. Rex Lipp trained four year old that resumed at this track/distance where he was given a suck run behind the speed and tried hard, but was no match for Le Palmier, who dominated from the front on a day where on speed was advantaged. Think there’ll be plenty of front end pressure here, so he’ll get his chance to finish over the top.

4 Le Palmier (Bet Now: $2.60) is a deserving favourite given how dominant he was in the race mentioned above. He was helped by the track pattern for the meeting, but that aside, the win was pretty sharp. He should lead from the gate and with hard fitness, he has to be respected.

7 Kylease (Bet Now: $6.50) is a nippy mare for the O’Dea/Hoysted camp that resumes. This girl hasn’t raced since the Gai Waterhouse on Ipswich Cup Day when far from disgraced in defeat behind Intrepidacious. Liked her trial leading in and I think is forward enough to run well fresh.

9 Heaven Amore (Bet Now: $3.70) gets the nod in the get out. Kelly Schweida trained mare that is a few weeks between runs since recording an impressive win over the mile at Doomben, defying a notable betting drift. Back to 1400m I find interesting, but she should be strong at the end.

3 Broken Hero (Bet Now: $5.00) is sneaky flying, but will need a peach from Baylee Nothdurft. Was there to win two back at Toowoomba but had to settle for a narrow second. Then raced at Doomben where he was given a good ride from Wendy Peel and ran well I thought when fifth to Go Wandji, who looks Stakes class, so the form reads well. Just needs luck from the draw.

6 Breton (Bet Now: $11.00) is a stayer that will be better suited over further, but I think he has the talent to sneak a first four spot. Resumes for Chris Waller, having not raced since July 8 when winning his second race on the bounce, getting the job done over 2190m at Ipswich. He’ll want further, but trained by Chris Waller, he can pull out a positive run fresh.

NEXT BEST: Race Six Number 4 Ingear

LONG SHOT: Race One Number 3 Strongbow
