Morphettville Parks will conduct a nine event program on Saturday for SA Sires Produce Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is heavy (9) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

1 Miracle Spin (Bet Now: $7.50) should run a positive race for Andrew Bobbin. He ran over 1800m at Murray Bridge two weeks ago when back off speed in a sit/sprint and did make up ground but was never a winning threat behind Placo. 2000m looks ideal, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

6 Eight On The Dot (Bet Now: $11.00) is knocking on the door. Game effort last Saturday at this track/distance when wide no cover, doing work but kept on and kept finding the line in defeat in a good effort. Better run in transit this time around, he’s dangerous against these.

7 Smiling Assassin (Bet Now: $26.00) is on the quick back up after racing at Mount Gambier on Sunday where he was back in the run and did make up headway but was never really threatening. Hit and miss but if within range, he’s dangerous.

5 Street Legal (Bet Now: $1.70) should prove hard to beat after racing over this trip on the course proper four weeks ago when wide no cover and tried hard but just felt the pinch late in the piece. Bursting to win and he finds a race well within reach.

4 Scooped (Bet Now: $7.50) was game in defeat on the course proper last start given he was wide no cover on speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Better run in transit this time around, he’s going well enough to threaten.

11 Stand Alone (Bet Now: $7.50) steps up to 1000m after recent runs over 900m at Murray Bridge, the latest seeing her lead and was hailed as the winner but was nabbed late by Dirty Gold. 1000m is fine, she’s one of the leading contenders.

1 Oak Park Maddison (Bet Now: $6.50) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1300m at Morphettville Parks when off speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat behind Davida. She’ll be strong late and hopefully can settle closer in the run.

6 Polunin (Bet Now: $4.00) has done little wrong in two runs to start his career and commands respect. Both runs have come at Balaklava, winning on debut before a solid third to Breakfast last start. Maps ideally and should be around the mark.

3 Golden Horizon (Bet Now: $4.80) ran over 1300m here three weeks back where he was ridden with intent and loomed but failed badly in the straight and was awful I thought. Hit and miss but if he brings his best, he’s capable.

1 Big Sue (Bet Now: $11.00) steps up to 1250m after resuming over 1100m at Murray Bridge a fortnight back here he was beaten for early speed but kept on and was far from disgraced in defeat behind Richie D’Amour. Fitter and up in trip, he’s dangerous.

4 Cork Harbour (Bet Now: $11.00) comes here five weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Murray Bridge when wide no cover on speed and the hard run just told on him late in the piece. Not sure he wins but he can run first four.

9 Koratora (Bet Now: $14.00) is on the back up for Travis Doudle after racing last Tuesday at Murray Bridge, doing work, and on testing ground, she felt the pinch late. Like her up to 1000m, she can run a much improved race.

8 Wolfy (Bet Now: $2.50) hasn’t won for awhile which is a bit of a concern at the short quote but he finds the most winnable race here. He has been contesting far better quality races of late so if he travels well and races up to his ability he should be winning and winning well.

11 Cielao (Bet Now: $4.80) is a Michael Hickmott trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Jan 31 when an impressive winner on the course proper. Jumped out well, good racing style, she’ll be around the mark.

1 Karacasu (Bet Now: $17.00) is four weeks between runs since racing over this trip on the course proper here where he struggled on the bog and couldn’t pick his feet up late in the piece. Firmer deck and fresh legs, he’s an improver at odds.

8 Expensive Taste (Bet Now: $8.50) steps up to 1400m after a first up second over 1200m at Ballarat Synthetic, driving hard from off speed but couldn’t quite finish the job. Fitter and up in trip, she has runs on the board to command respect.

7 Brevitas (Bet Now: $2.80) is three weeks between runs since racing in the Oaklands Plate over this track/distance when off speed and worked home with purpose in a good effort in defeat when second to Pretty Baby. Just needs a half positive steer and she’ll take holding out.

1 Neveu (Bet Now: $16.00) was solid in defeat two weeks back at Murray Bridge, landing on speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the race off well enough to win. Not sure I could back him to win but he can run top four.

6 Imposing Suspect (Bet Now: $12.00) is third up and should be hard fit. Think they rode a touch warm two weeks ago at Murray Bridge and it took away something from his finale. More patient ride, he’ll be strong late and can win.

7 Crown Mint (Bet Now: $8.50) comes back to 1550m after racing over 1800m at Murray Bridge a fortnight back where he got into a decent spot and loomed but just felt the pinch late. Like him back in trip and strikes a winnable race.

5 Capulet (Bet Now: $11.00) is a Travis Doudle trained mare that resumes. She hasn’t raced since Jan 10 at Murray Bridge when leading and tiring late over 2000m behind Coorong Tycoon. Looks to have jumped out well and fresh at 1550m signals intent, so watch betting.

1 Bold Secret (Bet Now: $2.35) is a Phillip Stokes trained three year old that ran over this track/distance three weeks ago. He lobbed in a decent spot just off speed and loomed to win but found one better in Falanghina. He only runs well despite the tricky gate.

4 Took Gardner (Bet Now: $4.60) won his maiden well last time out and he is a horse that suggests he will continue to improve with more experience. He has to overcome a pretty tricky barrier and with a 3kg claimer on board he will need some luck to get a good enough run to win but if he does I think he will be right in the finish.

5 Gazelle (Bet Now: $15.00) is flying for Gary Boyce. She was an impressive winner last Tuesday at Murray Bridge, getting better as the race went on to score. Good test here but the way she’s racing at present, no reason to think she won’t measure up.

12 Daisydoo (Bet Now: $3.90) is a Justin Pickering trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Feb 28 when far from disgraced over this track/distance. Good fresh horse, looks to have trialled well, she’s a key winning chance.

1 Omaha Dawn (Bet Now: $3.60) is a winner which a lot of the horses in this race aren’t. She has won her last two quite well and she finds a very similar quality of race here. She carries a bit of weight but that should be fine, the only concern is the barrier so she might need some luck or she could be posted three wide which will make it tricky.

14 La Roux (Bet Now: $9.50) probably hasn’t gone on with it since her two year old days but this is one of the weaker races she has contested since that juvenile season. She has moved well in recent jumpout work and does seem to race best on the fresh side.
