4 Pure Bliss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given respect for Clarken/O’Shea as one of the hardest to beat off the back of a dominant win here two weeks ago, getting the suck run in behind the speed before angling for clear air and she made a mess of them late in the piece. Off that, she takes beating against these.

2 Wolflands (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the key threat. Team Hayes trained gelding that was scratched from Melbourne to be saved for this. Latest run was at Sandown when off speed and chased with purpose late in the piece when narrowly beaten by Mighty. Small field, claim, he appeals.

1 Magic Max (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has class and that is going to carry him a long way. He resumes for Richards/Moyle, having not raced since June 15 when racing over 1000m at Murray Bridge and was never really a factor. Liked the way he trialled and although he’ll spot them a start, he should be strong late.

8 Ad Astra (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. Michael Hickmott trained filly that resumes, having not raced since Dec 13 when racing at The Valley. She was hard in the market and seemingly had her chance but she stayed on and was good in defeat behind Rockin At Midnite. Given a break and her recent trial win was quite sharp. Think she can resume with a win.

3 Secret Wonder (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on ice since debuting here on Boxing Day in a benchmark race. He got off speed but chased strongly, finding one better in the well performed Dyer. Market support was telling there so back to maiden grade, he takes beating.

5 Shady Thinker (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. Bain/Taylor trained gelding that is on debut off the back of impressive trial win at Strathalbyn where she won well, ran time and did it with something in the locker. Bred to be a handy one so watch the market.

6 Beauty Rising (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. Formerly with Neasham/Archibald, first run for Phillip Stokes came three weeks ago over 1050m on the course proper when near the speed and kept chasing in a pretty good return behind Clarence. Better for the run and I think with a more patient steer, she’ll take beating against these.

3 Dodd (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned in pretty good order. He resumed at Strathalbyn where he got into a decent spot in transit off the speed before angling clear and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. Improvement to come, he rates highly.

8 King Moya (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a leading chance after racing at this track/distance two weeks back when wide throughout and he gave a decent kick when presented clear air but just felt the pinch late when second to Fine Future. Better run in transit, he takes beating against these.

2 Bullet Wing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. Just looked in need of the run fresh here behind Cool Magnum before having several weeks off and contesting a race at Penola when off speed and worked home strongly. Hard fit now, his best is good enough to be dangerous.

3 Aitch D’Amico (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise in trip after resuming a fortnight back over 1400m when looking in need of the run and that is how it panned out but he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Tahnee Treasure. Fitter and up in trip, he appeals.

6 Badonkidonk (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Darryl Dodson trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Dec 7 over 2400m at this track when producing an end of prep run, finishing down the track behind Arugamama. Can sprint well fresh, he’s one for exotics.

4 Angel Torque (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat here I say. She ran behind Teardrop Rotation two weeks ago when back off the speed and kept chasing with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat, running fifth. If she can settle closer, be within range, she has the finale to take this out.

3 Justa Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) lands on speed and has upside to come off the back of a second over this trip on the course proper three weeks ago and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when narrowly beaten by Teardrop Rotation. Better for the run and with upside, he appeals.

1 Taking Omaha (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up a little while but is holding his form really well at present. He attempted to lead throughout three weeks back on the course proper and gave a good sight but just lacked the killer blow to win behind Teardrop Rotation. Front end control, he’ll take running down.

2 Whatsanamegeorge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes beating here and has found winning form. Dominant track/distance winner two weeks ago when getting the sweet sit in transit before being angled for clear air and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. He’s found that win on the board, he can go on with it.

7 Hateech (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing in career best form for Claudette Rose. Dominant wins on the bounce before racing here a fortnight back where she was held up at times but got clear air and was good in defeat behind Whatsanamegeorge. If she can get to the outside and allow time to wind into her work, she’ll be hard to beat.

11 Prancing Countess (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Chris Bieg trained mare that should be around the mark. She ran third to Whatsanamegeorge two weeks back at this track/distance when back in the run and spotted those in front too much head start but was good late in the piece. Hard to beat against these I say.

4 A Samurai Mind (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a very nice horse that resumes and I think he can resume with a win. He hasn’t raced since Sep 28 at Sandown when tested in Melbourne and didn’t quite measure up behind Kingswood, who of course went on to be a Stakes winner, so that form does read very well and his recent trial was sharp.

3 Let’s Get Down (Bet Now:  $SP.00) had been bursting to win and that came two weeks ago here where he looked a good thing on paper and despite a few nervous moments, class kicked in and he was too good. His confidence is up, he can go on with it here.

5 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Michael Hickmott trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Aug 31 on the course proper here when down the track behind Eureka’s Victory after getting too far back. He is a horse who can sprint well fresh and his recent trial work has been more than encouraging.

5 Fun Forever (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an Andrew Gluyas trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Aug 7 at Gawler when off speed and kept finding the line when second to Whenthedeelingsdun, who was in form at the time. Can sprint well fresh and should be strong at the end.

1 Oakland Raider (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. He hasn’t raced since Boxing Day when an all the way winner at this track/distance, producing sustained speed from the outset and gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. Good racing style, in form, he takes beating.

6 Lady Cederberg (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since racing at Port Lincoln where she got back to near last in the run and in an on pace domination, she was never a factor but did make up ground and was good in defeat. If she can be within range, she has the finale to be a threat.

11 Angelic Appeal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up a little while but is holding her form really well at present and takes beating. She ran two weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and held up at times but got clear and found the line strongly in defeat behind Tahnee Treasure. Better luck in running, she can take this out.

7 Tahnee Treasure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect for Peter Hardacre off the back of a win here a fortnight back at this track/distance when getting the sweet sit in transit before angling clear and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. Confidence is up, she can win again.

16 Running On Time (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a sneaky knockout hope. She ran behind Shisuta Bo two weeks back over 1250m here. She was six weeks between runs, got back in the run and made up good headway I thought without threatening. Better for that run and up to 1400m, she can win this for sure.
