6 Acres Away (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Mark Currie trained gelding that ran over 1110m at Doomben three weeks back. He got into a decent spot back off but couldn’t quite finish the race off and make up the required ground. More positive ride, he takes beating.

7 First Mission (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a nice horse for Kelly Schweida that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Nov 29 when third over 1200m at Doomben, trying hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Ser Joh. Looks to have trialled well for the return so watch betting.

2 Flying Destiny (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was kept safe in betting when racing two weeks back at Eagle Farm. He gave a decent sight from on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite get there when a narrow third to Restonica. Good racing style, he’ll be around the mark.

Have to be with 6 Dominant Darcy (Bet Now:  $SP.00). Three weeks between runs since a win over this trip at Doomben, She got the sweet sit in behind and looked to be trucking. Just a matter of getting clear air and once that eventuated, she was too good. Hard to knock the way she’s going at present.

9 Spiethtacular (Bet Now:  $SP.00) attempted to lead throughout in the race mentioned above. She gave a decent sight from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through when fourth. Think with a more patient steer, she’s dangerous.

1 Abender (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing behind Dominant Darcy at Doomben. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept chasing and was pretty good late. If within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

6 Roller Coaster (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was unwanted in betting when resuming over 1800m at Eagle Farm two weeks ago. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept chasing and made up decent headway in a pretty good return. Might want one more and further, but a decent enough set up here for mine to say he’s worth a throw at the stumps each way.

11 Lovey Dovey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 2050m after racing over 2200m at Eagle Farm two weeks back where she got off speed and made her run nearer the inside, looming large, but had no answers late for the in form Akkadian Emperor. Racing well and is in the mix.

8 Dianas Affair (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was good late two weeks back at Eagle Farm behind Brindavan. He settled off speed and loomed large to win but just couldn’t quite get there. Rise in trip looks okay, handles wet ground, he’s in the mix.

14 Sultry Siren (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat for Rob Heathcoate after racing over this trip two weeks ago at Eagle Farm. She got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get involved and get there behind Iron Man. Genuine mare who tries hard and should be around the mark against these.

3 Castillian (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this trip two weeks ago at Eagle Farm where he got off speed and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was pretty good in defeat I thought behind Iron Man. Better for the run and if he can settle closer, he’s dangerous against these.

11 Boom Shot (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a hard horse to catch at times but is capable, He ran three weeks back at Doomben where he just got too far back but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat. If he can settle closer, he’s dangerous.

5 King Yoshi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) saves his best for the 1000m and commands respect for Billy Healey. He hasn’t raced sine Feb 8 when a dominant winner over this trip at the Sunny Coast, leading throughout and gave nothing else a look in. Looks to find the front and will take running down.

7 Scampi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been freshened up since placing in the Magic Millions Snippets. He got back off speed and was good late when third to stablemate Axius. Tick over trial was encouraging, he is a key chance.

8 Power Of The Brave (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for Kris Lees. He tried his guts out at Eagle Farm last start but just found one better in short course specialist Wanda Rox. Tricky gate, but commands respect against these.

9 The Autumn Affair (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a dominant track/distance winner on debut two weeks ago, handling the wet track best and made a mess of them on the line in an impressive display. Looks to be a filly with good talent and confident she can measure up here.

7 Esparanza (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran a ripping second to Cherry Bombshell a fortnight back at Eagle Farm, closing with purpose from off speed. That proved that the debut win was no fluke so 1110m back to 1000m there, now back up to 1200m, she rates highly.

1 Better Blitzem… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) just how good is he? 4/4 to start his career, the latest win coming last week at Townsville where he beat just one rival but the way he did it and how comfortable it was…he’s the best two year old in that part of the world, so keen to see how he goes.

2 Hatchet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is absolutely flying for Rob Heathcoate and I think 1400m should be fine. He has won three on the bounce, all at 1200m. Firstly at the Sunny Coast, then Doomben, then an impressive effort at Eagle Farm two weeks ago. He has to be given serious respect.

11 John Rambo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door to win. He tried hard at Eagle Farm a fortnight back, getting the suck run in transit just off speed and was there to threaten but just whacked and lacked the killer finale when second to Iron Man. He’s ready to win and commands respect.

4 Battlefield (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps back up to 1400m after coming back to 1200m at Eagle Farm a fortnight back. He got to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he did close off really well in defeat. Like him back up in trip, he appeals.

3 Fabulantes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for Rob Heathcoate and he’ll take a power of beating I say after a win over 1350m three weeks ago at Doomben, giving them a start and a beating, getting better as the race went on. Likely spots them a start but will launch late and be stronger than most at the end.

5 Saxobushi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks hard to beat for Kris Lees. He hasn’t raced since the Magic Millions Guineas when down the track but far from disgraced behind Torque To Be Sure. Like him with fresh legs into this and a recent tick over trial was quite good.

9 Dragonne Rouge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) would be really hard to beat here with her best…just not sure where she is at. She ran behind Dr Farthing two weeks back at Eagle Farm in the Prelude when off speed and seemingly had every chance but was quite one paced to the line. Like her back up in trip…doubt she wins but can run top four.

8 Zoubaby (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating for Tony Gollan after racing three weeks ago over 1110m at Doomben. She got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get past Taltarni Fields in a driving go to the line. Racing very well and should be around the mark here.

1 Considered (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has eyes on the Country Championships so not sure what intent there is here, but she is a mare that is very promising. She earned her spot in the Final off the back of a Qualifier win at Coffs Harbour where she handled the wet track best and was dominant in the run to the line. She’ll be strong late. Just depends what start she concedes.

5 Exotique Miss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate coming back to Mares grade after resuming two weeks back at Eagle Farm over 1200m. She got off speed and seemingly had her chance but battled away really well in defeat I thought. Hit and miss but her best is good enough to be dangerous.

8 Quothquan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will love rising to 1800m after racing over the mile at Eagle Farm a fortnight back. He got off speed and spotted those in front a start but kept chasing and was pretty good late when second to Demon Darb. Getting towards peak fitness and rising to 1800m, he’s hard to beat.

6 Demon Darb (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an absolute swimmer so with potential give in the track here, off a win, he’s a clear top seed for me. There was enough of an edge off the track two weeks ago at Eagle Farm and he put pay to them from off speed for an impressive triumph. He’s confidence is up, he can go on with it.

10 Queen Air (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was down the track behind Demon Darb two weeks back. She was near last in the run and made up decent headway but was never really threatening. Hard fit, she likes the Gold Coast, not dismissing her.

NEXT BEST: Race Eight Number 3 Fabulantes

LONG SHOT: Race Ten Number 8 Quothquan
