Big Danger: 11 Siren’s Reward (Bet Now: $18.00) debuted at Warracknabeal a couple of weeks back where she sat off speed and presented on the turn as the winner but she just felt the pinch late to run a close up third. Draws wide, but she should get good cover and is a leading chance.
Roughie: 7 Hellava Babe (Bet Now: $15.00) is a first starter for local trainer Pat Carey. Drawn awkwardly, but jump outs have been encouraging and this isn’t the strongest race.

Race Two (13:00) : Priority Printing Plate 1200m:
Back Me: 13 Rock And Go (Bet Now: $31.00) was unwanted in betting when resuming at Wodonga but she got back and charged home to run third. Step up in trip will be ideal and there is enormous upside.
Big Danger: 1 Artie Fred (Bet Now: $4.80) ran on the bog surface at Werribee last time out and tried hard but couldn’t quite peg back Ponza, though he was near the inside, which was the inferior ground. Back on his home track now and should be at peak fitness.
Roughie: 7 Russian Rick (Bet Now: $6.00) ran over this distance at Sale last start and attempted to lead all the way but just felt the pinch late when second to Sozzini. Lone wet track run resulted in a failure here on debut behind Cool Chap. That aside, he’s a leading chance.

Race Three (13:30) : Rylock Windows & Doors Frankston Handicap (64) 1600m:
Back Me: 8 Sacred Theme (Bet Now: $3.20) ran over the mile on the Pakenham Synthetic last start and was very sharp in winning, settling out the back before peeling out and picking up his rivals in a few strides. The wet track run prior was a beauty, he has upside and he’ll very strong at the end of 1600m.
Big Danger: 5 Art Of Perception (Bet Now: $4.20) started at a short quote last time out on the Pakenham Synthetic and on the turn it looked a bit shaky, but once he got balanced up, his final 150m-200m was excellent and he was powerful through the line in winning. Harder here, but there is a bit to like about him.
Roughie: 6 Jimivag (Bet Now: $13.00) was an alarming drifter in betting when racing on the bog track at Werribee, but a well timed ride from Luke Currie for the Stawell based galloper home impressively. He looks to have a bit of upside and the wet track will be no issue.

Race Four (14:00) : Thompson Lucas Commercial Handicap (70) 1600m:
Back Me: 7 Emira (Bet Now: $3.80) was well backed when resuming on a wet track at Pakenham and she lapped it up, sitting off speed before pouncing and dashing clear for a dominant win. She loves a wet track, and has enormous upside, so she has to go in as a threat.
Big Danger: 2 Az Given (Bet Now: $5.00) was specked in betting last start at Pakenham and the mare was quite dominant in winning. Not much harder here and the scratching now see her as a live threat.
Roughie: 6 Belcrest Lady (Bet Now: $16.00) is a tough mare for Heath Conners who comes here off a last start fourth to Iamhere. Can handle a wet track and is a chance.

Race Five (14:30) : Frankston RSL Handicap (70) 1600m:
Back Me: 4 Sozzini (Bet Now: $5.50) took her time to wind up on debut at Sale, but her last 100m was excellent as she drew clear late. She has the Waller polish, and with his runners, if they win on debut, more often than not, they’re pretty good. She can measure up here.
Big Danger: 2 Diambra (Bet Now: $7.50) is a Godolphin filly who comes to Victoria after racing North, where she last ran a close up third at Beaumont-Newcastle. Form is solid and will be a threat.
Roughie: 14 Reigning In Paris (Bet Now: $21.00) resumed on a bog track at Werribee and was given a pretty suspect ride when third to Holbein Prince, with the rider electing to make ground near the fence, which was quicksand. She will love the step up in trip, and should do no work from the gate.

Race Six (15:00) : Total Animal Supplies Handicap (64) 1200m:
Back Me: 3 Kinshachi (Bet Now: $5.00) resumes here for Godolphin. This daughter of Commands kicked off her career in Sydney, resulting in a win, second and a third, with the form reading pretty well. Recent trials at Cranbourne have been encouraging and stable is going very well in Victoria at the moment…probably because there are no Group l’s in Melbourne at the moment.
Big Danger: 15 Little Indian (Bet Now: $9.00) comes here off the back of a handy third to Pakaya Prince under the lights at Cranbourne where she just got held up a touch at a crucial stage. She will get clear air here, and any give in the track certainly won’t be a disadvantage.
Roughie: 6 Movie (Bet Now: $8.00) is a well bred filly who resumes for the Hayes/Dabernig yard. She debuted here during Christmas and was very impressive in winning before running a couple of handy races in town. Jump outs have been sharp and her lone wet track was last start when she took ground off subsequent Stakes performer Egypt.

Race Seven (15:30) : Showtime Attractions Cup (70) 1200m:
Back Me: 3 Liten Prinsessa (Bet Now: $8.00) resumed at Ballarat a tick under a month back where she was an alarming drifter in betting and ran accordingly when finishing down the track behind Regal Spur, but she was only beaten three lengths. Big track here, fitter, and her recent Cranbourne trial was excellent.
Big Danger: 4 Sang Choi Bao (Bet Now: $9.00) has been given a little freshen up since running during the Adelaide Carnival where he got a long way back in the run and working home well late when midfield to House Of Wax, beaten just under three lengths.
Roughie: 2 Eljetem (Bet Now: $9.00) is a talented local that resumes for Tony Noonan. Best form is over further, but he can sprint well fresh and he has looked alright at the local jump outs. The claim for form apprentice Mick Dee is also a big tick.

Race Eight (16:00) : Kraingal FNC 1996 20 Year Premiership Reunion/Gala Ball Handicap (64) 2000m:
Back Me: 5 Plymouth Road (Bet Now: $3.60) looks ready to win now. He ran over this trip at Pakenham last time out and tried hard when a close up second to Mr Wonderful. The track should be similar to what he faced there, so on that basis, and with his upside, he looks the one to beat.
Big Danger: 7 Berning Desire (Bet Now: $7.50) comes here off the back of a last start sixth to Mr Wondeful at Pakenham. Recent jumps trial was encouraging and can threaten here.
Roughie: 4 Fionn McCool (Bet Now: $26.00) returns to the flat after racing a couple of times over the sticks, where he hasn’t really set the world on fire. He has tuned up for this with a jumps trial at Pakenham. He is capable and has placed in both runs on his home track.

Race Nine (16:30) : BMK Handicap (64) 2000m:
Back Me: 6 Three Points (Bet Now: $3.40) appears to be one of the better bets on the program. He sat off a hot speed last start at Sale and though he didn’t win, his effort under the circumstances was pretty good. The form has held up with Landslide winning during the week. He handles all conditions and this just looks a very winnable race.
Big Danger: 10 All Well (Bet Now: $13.00) is a four start maiden who is destined to go over the sticks based on a slick win at Pakenham, but his flat form is handy without winning. He’ll eat up the 2000m here and is in the right stable.
Roughie: 3 Hot Power (Bet Now: $18.00) comes through that same Sale race mentioned above where he got a long way back in transit before peeling out and making ground late. The step up in trip will suit and he has a fab record on his home track.
