Back Me: 2 Recoiled (Best Odds: $1.70) debuted over this track/distance a couple of weeks back and was quite impressive in getting the job done. Not much harder here and looks to have a bit of promise. Looks the one to beat.
Big Danger: 6 First Affair (Best Odds: $8.00) has won its past two outings in impressive fashion, the latest coming down the straight at Pinjarra. Harder here, but in the right stable and down in the weights.
Roughie: 3 Sporting Image (Best Odds: $14.00) ran over 1200m here three weeks back and just failed to get clear at the right stage when sixth to in form filly Glitterbell. Back to 1000m will suit, good gate and is well weighted after the claim.

Race Two (16:18) : Carbine Club Of New Zealand Sponsored By CBUS Handicap 1000m:
Back Me: 1 Our Time Will Come (Best Odds: $8.00) resumed over this track/distance last time out where she sat on speed and toughed it out nicely when third to Atacama Sky. She has the necessary speed to carve over here, fitter and will take some running down.
Big Danger: 2 God I Love You (Best Odds: $16.00) resumes here after two runs late last year, starting off on debut when third to Our Time Will Come. No trials leading up to his return to racing, but Whiting sticks and is the main threat.
Roughie: 5 Take No Prisoners (Best Odds: $67.00) debuts here for the Parnham yard who comes here off the back of three trials, the latest on February 29 when third to Speedy Ladidi. Draws well and this isn’t a strong race.

Back Me: 2 Petrol Power (Best Odds: $7.50) ran over 1000m here a couple of weeks back when running third to Secret Nova, beaten just under three lengths in a pleasing effort. Third up here, so he should be ready fitness wise and is a great chance in a tough race.
Big Danger: 6 Longma (Best Odds: $7.00) is a former Sydney sider who was with Simon Miller but is now under the care of David Harrison. He hasn’t raced since June when running sixth to Windswept. No trials, but has class and Harvey on is a good lead.
Roughie: 4 War Prince (Best Odds: $3.40) resumed in that Secret Nova race mentioned above where he was wide no cover throughout yet stuck on very well when running a three length fourth. Draws better here and does race very well second up.

Race Four (17:35) : Carbine Club Of Papua New Guinea- EBM Insurance Handicap (72+) 1600m:
Back Me: 1 Muskets At Dawn (Best Odds: $2.90) was given a brilliant ride from Aaron Mitchell to run along at his own tempo and kicking on strongly to score another super victory. Looks the leader again and should take some beating.
Big Danger: 3 Saker (Best Odds: $4.60) has been given a three week freshen up since winning impressively over 1800m here in a race where the form has really held up. Draws well here and is well weighted after the claim for Randy Tan.
Roughie: 7 Spin Da Wheels (Best Odds: $41.00) drops big time in grade after running in the Pinjarra Classic (1300m) last time out when finishing down the track behind First Among Equals. Draws gate one here, and on his best form, he’d give this a shake.

Back Me: 1 Cougar Express (Best Odds: $3.60) is a ripper who just doesn’t know how to run a bad race. He ran over 2400m here a couple of weeks back and ran a very game second to Uncle George. Looks much easier here and is well weighted after the claim.
Big Danger: 4 Bayatorio (Best Odds: $5.50) co es through that Uncle George race also where he ran third, beaten just under two lengths in an excellent effort. He is bursting to win a race and Paul Harvey is booked.
Roughie: 7 Boutique (Best Odds: $26.00) ran fourth in that Uncle George race and he had her chance, but raced quite well still in defeat I thought. Her record doesn’t fill you with great confidence, but she whacks away and is a definite exotic player.

Race Six (18:55) : Carbine Club Of Vanuatu SPR Minutolo Drafting Handicap (1MW) 1400m:
Back Me: 1 Eurosun (Best Odds: $4.20) can be a real nightmare to follow, but is racing very well without winning. He ran over the mile here three weeks back and worked home strongly behind Socially Unique. Back to 1400m is ideal, gets the claim and will be strong late.
Big Danger: 7 All I Gee (Best Odds: $2.60) has won his past two outings, the latest coming over 1400m at Pinjarra controlling the tempo outside the leader and dashing clear late. Takes on the older horses, which isn’t easy, but is on the minimum and in winning form.
Roughie: 6 Gloryland (Best Odds: $7.50) creates some interest here. He resumes now with Neville Parnham after formerly being with Clinton McDonald. Best form is over further, but his recent trial was very good and he does have a tidy first up record.

Back Me: 9 Corvara (Best Odds: $2.25) was very short in the market when debuting over this track/distance a tick over two weeks back and despite a betting drift, she was too sharp. Well suited here and should take some beating despite the depth increase.
Big Danger: 5 Forever Diamonds (Best Odds: $4.40) drops in grade and distance after running in the Challenge Stakes (1500m) where she was a shade off I thought behind Dreamtime Dancer. Back to 1200m suits, back in depth and Pike jumps on.
Roughie: 2 Express Boy (Best Odds: $26.00) was an impressive debut winner at Bunbury before stepping up here and running a disappointing one behind Recoiled. Barrier one here and should do no work, so he can bounce back.

Race Eight (20:05) : World Plumbing Day Trophy (1MW) 1800m:
Back Me: 7 Red Paddy (Best Odds: $9.00) ran over 1400m here a fortnight back and was just alright I thought when running fifth to Danish Delight. Perhaps the step up to 1800m could spark him back into action and a win here wouldn’t shock at all.
Big Danger: 3 Confusing (Best Odds: $4.40) won over this track/distance a touch over two weeks ago and was given a lovely ride by Steve Parnham to win impressively, and he was strong through the line, so this looks ideal and now he has winning form, he can go on with it.
Roughie: 12 Discoville (Best Odds: $21.00) is a stablemate of Confusing who ran over the mile here last Saturday and stuck on well behind Star Exhibit. Not sure he can win, but he is a gritty customer who is never far away from the action.
