Nine races will be run and won at Morphettville Parks on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out three metres from the 1000m-Winning Post; True for the remainder.

1 Gargantuan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here as a last start midweek metro winner at Sandown so for me, he’s the one. There was merit to the win because he had to dig in to get the win and once he did, he was there to be run down but found and kicked on strongly to win. Should slide forward from the gate and with the 3kg claim, he gets in pretty well.

I think you have to believe what you saw with 5 Billie Bronx (Bet Now:  $SP.00) and her stunning debut win over 1400m at Murray Bridge. She was somewhat unwanted in betting but she sat on speed, trucked and really, Boyd didn’t go full bore on the filly and she made an absolute mess of them. You’d think with natural improvement off that, surely she rates as one of the leading contenders.

2 Agrimony (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a hard horse to catch but his best is certainly good enough. He resumed four weeks ago on the course proper here and was good from off the speed without threatening behind the then in form Hongbao. Moved well in a tick over trial last week and he is 1/1 at the track so perhaps returning here can spark the improvement required to win.

2 Doubting Eye (Bet Now:  $SP.00) gets the nod. Price/Kent stable has this colt, who debuted on Cranbourne Cup Day back in the Spring and was very raw/new to the caper, finishing down the track behind a handy type in Remedies. Been given a good break and his jumpout work at Cranbourne suggests he has come back in good order and should take beating against these.

10 Ok Gerry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to watch closely. Team Jolly filly that is on debut off the back of a couple of sharp trials to my eye, the latest trial being here last week and won by a space. The time was nothing flash relative to the morning but she won with purpose and seemingly did it with something in hand. Stable can get them ready to go first up/on debut, so watch the market.

5 Nasho (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to include in wider exotics. He debuted here three weeks back when four wide no cover for the trip, was back in the run and just couldn’t get involved, finishing down the track behind Accapella Moon. Had trialled well leading into that run so be forgiving of that effort and I think he can run a much improved race here.

1 Auntie’s Jake Bar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top. Team Jolly has this son of Alpine Eagle, that is on debut and has been given several trials to prepare. Latest came here last week and I thought moved pretty well in behind a couple of likely types when third to Kiliako. Tricky draw, but has early speed, so I think can overcome that and prove hard to beat here.

14 She’s Tuff Enuff (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat for me. Clarken/O’Shea trained filly that is on debut and has been given a good grounding for start one, with two jumpouts and a trial under the belt, the latest piece of work being a jumpout last week where she seemingly moved very well to my eye. Has been nominated a few times for the debut but hasn’t stepped out. Think she’s a contender.

3 Flyin’ For Us (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the leading contenders. Emma Hubbard trained gelding that debuted over 1100m here two weeks back when just off the speed throughout and tried his guts out but couldn’t quite get there when fourth to Arugamama. Back to 1000m I find interesting but with an on speed racing style, that is suited to this track/distance.

7 Chicago Storm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented animal that should prove hard to beat here. Three weeks between runs since a dominant win over 1250m here. Vorster was able to put him on speed, and the horse was just trucking in the run. Just a matter of Vorster pushing the button and once he did, he put the race to bed quickly and was much too good. Has to rate as one of the hardest to beat.

1 My Khalifa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) returns to his pet track and is hard fit now after running last Saturday at Murray Bridge where the race shape was against him but I didn’t mind the way he found the line late in the piece behind Struck By. He saves his best for this track and he gets in really well after the claim. He’s a clear threat and should be closer in the market.

3 Perfect Route (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Good Journey for Mick Huxtable that resumes. He hasn’t raced since December 10 when racing over 1800m on the course proper here and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish it off, finishing down the track behind Wild Imagination. He saves his best for the Parks track and although I can’t find a trial/jumpout for him, I’d watch the market and see what it does.

5 Dirty Mind (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the straight bat option. He got a 12/10 from Froggy to win fresh in a Moe maiden, landing 1/1 from the wide gate and really, the race was over from a fair way out, drawing clear late and was impressive to the line in winning. Should lob into a lovely spot from the gate here and the depth is on the thin side. He’s the way to go.

8 Leon’s Shout (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been excellent this time in for Chris Bieg. Resumed with a pretty strong win at Bordertown before going to the course proper here when on speed and tried his guts out but couldn’t quite finish it off when second to Nicajon. I think the rise to 1300m will suit and with his racing pattern, he’ll give himself every chance.

7 Tony Montana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had two runs back from a spell, both at 1200m, and I do think getting to 1300m will be ideal. Latest run came behind Nicajon a fortnight back on the course proper here and was solid late from the back without threatening, beaten just over four lengths. The way he found the line last time, I think a rise in trip is fine and he does find a winnable race.

7 Malinong Club (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me. This mare is racing in really good form at the moment. Far from disgraced two back in the Premiers Plate behind Farooq before going to Morphettville again two weeks ago and tried hard to get the win but couldn’t quite get there when second to Wheels, who backed up and won a week later, so the form has been ticked off and only has to hold her form to be around the mark.

6 Kutayha (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is sneaky flying for Team Jolly and I want to give him another chance. The market was fascinating with him last Saturday at Murray Bridge. Earlier in the week he was double figures into favourite but the last half hour of betting, he got back to double figures and didn’t get the best of luck in the straight, but was never a threat to Last Girl Love. Like that he backs up straight away and finds a winnable race.

5 Ammo Amor (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for multiples. He ran in the Last Girl Love race last Saturday at Murray Bridge where he did work from a wide gate to find a spot near the speed and that early burn just told at the end, finishing just under five lengths away from the winner in fast time. If that run hasn’t busted him, his prior form is good enough to be a winning threat.

5 More Sugar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying and should take beating against these. Market wanted to be with her with confidence when racing two weeks ago on the course proper here and under a peach from Ben Price, she finished best and was strong to the line in winning. They stretched her out in trip two back and it didn’t work. The 1600m distance range looks ideal and should prove hard to beat.

3 Kalamon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat here for Team Jolly. Just needed the run fresh behind Versetto before going to 1550m on the Park track last time out where he was back near last in the run and was very good late in the piece, beaten just over a couple of lengths by Trumpsta. This race, as a whole, is on the thin side, so he commands respect.

2 Crown Mint (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is capable with his best. Richards/Moyle trained gelding that resumed a few weeks ago over 1200m on the course proper and it was just a run when down the track behind Bellinger, failing to beat a runner home. The tick over trial last week was much better, he’s a good second up horse and he has a liking for the Parks track. Not penning him…yet.

Fitter and up to 1400m are two big ticks for 7 Lake Titicaca (Bet Now:  $SP.00). This was kept safe in betting at odds when resuming two weeks ago on the course proper here and did a pretty good job in defeat after sitting on speed, just feeling the pinch late when fourth to Kenyan Wonder, beaten just over two lengths. Good upside to come and up in trip, she is one of the hardest to beat.

9 Four Winds (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can win with her best. Sam Burford trained mare that ran on the Parks track three weeks back when doing work to find a spot from the gate and was far from disgraced in defeat, beaten just over three lengths Chicago Storm. Think with a more economical run in transit, her best is certainly good enough to take this out. Knockout chance.

3 Eyes Never Lie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the leading chances. She resumed three weeks ago over 1250m here where she had a suck run from the inside gate and battled late, but was beaten by a pretty good horse in Chicago Storm. Much better second up record and the trial/jumpout work indicated she would improve with the run. Off her best, she’s hard to beat.

1 Mr Have A Chat (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and give them something to chase. There was plenty of merit to his win a few weeks ago on the Parks track. He was there to be run down after copping heat in front but found enough pressure to fend them off and on the line, he was safely holding them at bay. With his racing pattern, he’ll take beating.

10 Greyt Mumma (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can win but gee she seems short enough in the market. She resumed in a Stony Creek maiden where she gave them an absolute spanking, winning with class and style. The gate does make things tricky for her and there is a bit of depth to this line up, but she is in the right camp and is one of the main contenders.

7 Miss Eurozone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a definite winning chance. Put together a couple of strong wins before racing on the course proper here two weeks back when on speed and tried her guts out but couldn’t quite finish it off when fourth to Shirshov, beaten just over a length. Been up a little while but is holding her form pretty well and is genuine. Leading contender I’d suggest.
