Race 1. (11:57) The Fotobase Group Hcp 2028m
4 Guru Warrior (Bet Now: $SP.00) just has to hold his form and he should be winning again. He has won two on the bounce, the latest being two weeks ago here when klooking a good thing on paper and despite wandering about in the straight, he had a bit on his rivals. Similar story here I think.
6 King Of Wessex (Bet Now: $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. He won over 1950m at Morphettville Parks when getting the sweet sit in transit just off speed before being presented clear air and finished best in a driving go to score. He’s found winning form, he can threaten.
1 Yuri Royale (Bet Now: $SP.00) ran third to Dark’N’Confidential from three weeks back. He got into a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third, beaten around 2.5L. Good racing style and was scratched from a much weaker race to run here.
Race 2. (12:32) Sportsbet Blackbook Hcp 1100m
2 Ground Control (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks a really nice horse of the future for Phillip Stokes. He resumes, having not raced since a debut win at Sale back in May when leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win impressively. Given a good break and his jumpout work has been strong. Keen to see how he resumes.
Big win from 1 Golden Horizon (Bet Now: $SP.00) a fortnight back at this track/distance when wide no cover on speed but kept coming under pressure and was strong to the line in winning. If that hasn’t busted him, he’s the one to beat.
3 Bootlegger (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a son of Too Darn Hot that resumes. He did some nice things as a juvenile, winning at start two before being far from disgraced in the SA Sires Produce. Likely sits off speed but will be strong late.
Race 3. (13:12) Sportsbet Race Replays Hcp 1100m
5 Zebella (Bet Now: $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came a few weeks ago at Morphettville Parks when attempting to lead throughout and she gave a strong kick from the front but just felt the pinch late in the piece. Better for the run, and I think with a bunny to chase, she’s dangerous.
1 Sir Now (Bet Now: $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came four weeks ago at Morphettville where he just did a bit too much work on speed and just felt the pinch late in the piece behind Grinzinger Prince. He’s a tough bugger, very genuine. Not penning him.
7 Starlite Valley (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes to 1100m here after racing ove the trip at Murray Bridge three weeks back. She was far from disgraced in defeat behind Lucky Duck but she did get a fair way out of her ground and for mine, she is a much better horse when on speed. Dangerous if that eventuates.
Race 4. (13:56) Festival Hire Hcp 2028m
9 Aitch D’Amico (Bet Now: $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps in what looks a bludger of a race. I didn’t mind his effort two weeks ago here behind Guru Warrior where he got back to near last in the run and was good late without threatening. He isn’t here and if within range, he can finish best.
2 The Mansman (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs for Phillip Stokes since racing at Morphettville Parks over 1950m. He was there to win in the straight but had no answers late for Guru Warrior, who won last Satruday, so the form reads well and a tick over trial was a solid piece of work.
3 Lomax (Bet Now: $SP.00) is racing well without winning. He ran fourth to Dark’N’Confidential a few weeks back at Murray Bridge over this trip. He got into a decent spot off speed and did try hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job. Not sure he wins, but is a must for exotics.
Race 5. (14:32) Peter Elberg Funerals Hcp 1800m
6 Fox Gem (Bet Now: $SP.00) for me. He was a real eye catcher when resuming at Penola, getting a fair way out of his ground but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Jilladora. Good upside, in well after the claim and will be strong late.
9 Bolt By (Bet Now: $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got into a decent spot off speed and did try hard but just couldn’t quite get there. That said, he was still game in defeat behind Dark’N’Confidential. Good track/distance record, he’ll be around the mark.
4 Dual Fuel (Bet Now: $SP.00) has run well at this track/distance before and does have a hint of quality when on song. She resumed at Murray Bridge where she just got back to near last in the run and was never really a factor. First four threat.
Race 6. (15:12) Mm Electrical Hcp 1600m
2 Snoopy Now (Bet Now: $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since resuming over 1400m at Murray Bridge. He got into a decent spot in transit just off speed and tried hard but first up, condition just gave way. Fittter and up in trip, good upside, touch of quality, he can bounce back.
1 Porter (Bet Now: $SP.00) has found positive form and can go on with it. First two runs back were so so but he found form last start at Caulfield behind impressive winner Surfin Bird. His best is clearly good enough so I say he commands respect.
6 Surprise Coming (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes through the Dual Pressure race from several weeks ago at Murray Bridge over 1400m. He was a total forgive I thought given he was wide no cover for the trip and the hard run just told. Better run in transit, he can threaten.
Race 7. (15:52) Sherriff Electrical Wholesalers 50Th Year Hcp 1600m
Life ban is in order for 10 Pelevecchio (Bet Now: $SP.00) if she can’t put these away. She ran over the mile here four weeks ago and in the run, she looked all over the winner, but on the turn, she lost her momentum and lost the plot it seemed when third to Grinzinger Halo. If she brings her best, she has lengths on these.
12 High Tor (Bet Now: $SP.00) is racing well for Garret Lynch. She was well tried in betting when racing at the midweeks at Balaklava last start when off speed and chased hard but couldn’t quite get there when third to Obi. Racing well, in good form, and should be around the mark.
8 Obi (Bet Now: $SP.00) is nine years of age but is racing as well as ever it seems after the victory at Balaklava. He gave them a start and a beating, producing a strong finale from the back to score. Has earned a crack in town again, he’ll be a threat I’m sure.
Race 8. (16:33) Dave Loy Hcp 1050m
1 Hot Statement (Bet Now: $SP.00) is four weeks between runs for Team Jolly since an impressive first up win over 1050m here in a maiden. He was just off the speed and trucking before being clicked up and away he went to win and win well. Not a deep race this and off such a sharp return, he has to be top seed.
13 Isla’s Fury (Bet Now: $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and take running down after a first up maiden win on the Parks track in a maiden when on speed and was trucking before being clicked up and away she went to win and win well. She’ll look the winner for a fair way.
8 Global Turn (Bet Now: $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Phillip Stokes since racing over 1200m here when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat when third to Global Turn. Back to a fast run 1050m, she can launch late.
Race 9. (17:12) Happy 40Th Bday Andy Adams Hcp 1050m
3 Streetcar Fury (Bet Now: $SP.00) was ridden with intent three weeks ago at Murray Bridge and duly saluted, finishing best in a driving go to get the job done. He had been knocking on the door all prep and now his confidence is up, he can win again.
15 Misludi (Bet Now: $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came three weeks ago at Murray Bridge. She got into a three wide with cover spot in the run and was there to be some sort of danger when asked for the effort but just whacked to the line late in the piece. Good track/distance record, she appeals.
1 Vintage Star (Bet Now: $SP.00) is an improver for Team Jolly. He resumed three weeks back at Murray Bridge. He landed in a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when fourth to Streetcar Fury. Better for the run and has a good track/distance record.
Race 10. (18:00) Sportsbet Jockey Watch Hcp 1200m
9 Nicish (Bet Now: $SP.00) is flying for Phillip Stokes. Can easily make a case to say she wins here two weeks ago if she gets clear air but she didn’t get it until it was too late when second to Zoupurring. Good track/distance record, hard fit, in form, she appeals.
7 Speedtail (Bet Now: $SP.00) ran over this track/distance a fortnight back. He had a suck run in transit just behind the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job in a pretty good effort in defeat behind a nice horse, Shady Thinker. Leading contender.
13 Global Turn (Bet Now: $SP.00) has been kept on the fresh side since a win at this track/distance on Oct 4, giving them a start and a beating in an electric performance to score. Tick over trial was quiet, she’ll sit off them again and can finish off hard.
