Terms & Conditions

1.How are dividends calculated?

Dividends are based on a hypothetical $1 each way bet ($1 on win, $1 on place) on your selection. Dividends are based on Top Tote Plus (Win bets: best price of the three totes and the starting price, Place bets: best price of the three totes)

E.g. The horse you picked wins. The win odds were 3.00 and the place odds were 1.50. You would receive 3.00 dividends for the win and 1.50 dividends for the place, hence 4.50 dividends in total. If you horse only placed, you would only receive 1.50 dividends.

2.How do I play?

-For a selected track, pick a runner in each race. Hit “Save”

– Select a horse for each race

– You can edit your picks prior to the race jumping

– Prizes are based on the tipper that collects the most dividends

– Dividends are calculated by placing a $1 each way bet ($1 on win, $1 on place) on your selections. Dividends are based on Top Tote

3.Does it cost to play?

No, it’s completely free to play!

What are the Bonus Bet prizes?

1st place – $1,500 in Bonus Bets

2nd place – $,1000 in Bonus Bets

3rd place – $500 in Bonus Bets

4th place – $300 in Bonus Bets

5th place – $200 in Bonus Bets

6-10th places – $150 in Bonus Bets

11-20th places – $100 in Bonus Bets

21-50th places – $75 in Bonus Bets

51-100th places – $50 in Bonus Bets

4.Can I edit my picks?

Yes, you can edit your picks prior to the race jumping.

5.When do I have to submit my picks?

You can submit your picks at any time (as long as the race is open). If you miss a race, you can still submit picks for any race that hasn’t jumped. (E.g. if you miss race 1, you can still submit picks for races 2 and so on)

6.What if my horse is scratched?

Your scratched selection will be automatically substituted to the favourite horse (Sportsbet fixed odds) in that race. You can edit your pick prior to the race jumping.

7.What if there’s a protest?

In the event of a protest, we will wait for the new finishing order to be announced before determining winning tips.

8.What if there’s a dead heat?

You will receive the final dividend divided by the number of dead heating winners of the race. E.g. if there are 2 horse tied for 1st, you receive half of the final dividend for both the win and the place (likewise for place position on the place dividend)

9.What if a race is abandoned?

You will receive no dividends for any race or track that is abandoned

10.What if there’s a tie for prizes?

Prizes will be shared between the tippers that are on equal points. E.g. If two tippers finish equal 1st, they will share in the prize allocated for both 1st AND 2nd. If 1st prize is $500 and 2nd prize is $100, they will share in $600 and hence get $300 each.

11.When will I receive my prize?

Bonus Bet prizes will be awarded to your Sportsbet account once leaderboards are finalised and all races have resulted.

12.Why did my odds/dividends change?

When you submit your picks, the indicated price is the current fixed odds price. Your final dividend will be calculated on Top Tote Plus (Win bets: best price of the three totes and the starting price, Place bets: best price of the three totes).

13.What price is the dividend calculated on?

Dividends are based on Top Tote Plus. (Win bets: best price of the three totes and the starting price, Place bets: best price of the three totes).

14.What if I miss a race?

Don’t worry if you miss a race. You can still submit your picks for any races that haven’t run E.g. if you miss race 1, you can still submit your picks for race 2 and any other open races. You can edit your picks right up until the race jumps.

15.Can I enter more than once?

No, only one entry per customer is allowed.

16.What happens if my selection is scratched and there are 2 horses that are equal favourites?

Should there be two equal favourites, the automatic selection will be in favour of the horse with the lowest saddle cloth number (please note: this is not barrier number). You can edit your pick prior to the race jumping.
