Ruby Walsh is on course to return to the saddle in September after suffering crushed vertebrae in a fall at Killarney.
The eight-time Irish champion jump jockey was hurt in a tumble at Killarney on July 12.
“I’ve had my fair share of serious injuries over the past few years,” Walsh, who is sporting a neck brace, said.
“They say they come in threes, so hopefully that’s it for me. I hope to have the brace off in four to six weeks and then, after a bit of physio, I should be ready to go.”
Walsh has missed large chunks of the past 18 months having broken his left arm in two places at Aintree’s Grand National meeting in 2010 and then suffering a double fracture of his right leg at Down Royal last November.
