Godolphin’s It’s Tricky claimed her second successive Grade One triumph in the American Oaks at Saratago.
The three-year-old filly, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, lowered the colours of a top-class field by upwards of three-quarters of a length.
It’s Tricky’s victory was providing a little relief to Sheikh Mohammed following the death of Rewilding in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
McLaughlin, whose charge could next run in the Grade One Alabama Stakes, said: “She’s obviously only had one defeat in her life.
“We’ve always liked her and I thought she ran very well.
“It was a great win for Godolphin to win a Grade One here with us.
“It’s special. We’re pleased and privileged to train her for them.”
