So You Think’s Royal Ascot conqueror Rewilding has been elevated to third on the world thoroughbred rankings behind equal top-raters Black Caviar and Frankel.
The International Horse Federation’s latest rankings go up to June 26 and do not include So You Think’s successful return to the Group One winners’ list in Saturday’s Eclipse Stakes.
However, So You Think is unlikely to be rated higher than his existing 126 which has him in fifth position.
Black Caviar and Frankel are on 130, three clear of Rewilding and Canford Cliffs.
Workforce, who ran second in the Eclipse, is on 125 alongside Singapore Star Rocket Man with Dick Turpin and Goldikova both on 124 to round out the top 10.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien has yet to decide where So You Think will race next with Australian quarantine regulations likely to rule out an attempt at a third Cox Plate.
Coolmore’s Ballydoyle property has been ruled out as a suitable facility.
Among the other possibilities for So You Think later in the year are the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and a rematch with titleholder Workforce, and the Breeders’ Cup meeting in Kentucky.
Black Caviar meanwhile, has returned to light work ahead of her Melbourne spring campaign.
Trainer Peter Moody and her owners are considering overseas options in Japan and Hong Kong but quarantine issues could also be a problem when it comes to re-entry to Australia.
