Luca Cumani is praying his top-class performer Presvis gets the breaks in the Champions Mile at Sha Tin on Easter Monday.
The seven-year-old was given a brilliant ride by Ryan Moore to land the Dubai Duty Free at Meydan last month and the former champion jockey will be on board again in Hong Kong.
Cumani is unconcerned about his charge being drawn wide in stall 10 of 14 and feels he is up to winning again if things fall right.
“He’s drawn wide but it makes no difference as he’s going to be last in the early part of the race whatever,” Cumani said.
“It’s just the usual thing with him. He needs a good enough pace and luck in running in the straight.
“He has come out of the Dubai race very well. We know he’s got the ability and the rest will be down to Ryan Moore and a bit of luck.”
