A cover up of a failed drug test has this morning rocked the US horse racing industry.
The New York times has reported that Triple Crown winner Justify failed a drug test ahead of his win in the Kentucky Derby that was covered up by officials which should have ruled him out of the race.
Justify tested positive for high amounts of the drug scopolamine, a performance-enhancing drug which should have seen him disqualified from the race however officials let the horse race.
The news could have massive ramifications on the Australian breeding industry with Justify standing at Coolmore Australia after the breeding operation purchased the colt for $60m USD.
More to come…
