The chestnut was second in the King’s Stand before placing third in the Jubilee just four days later.
Elzaam was fourth in the latter race and will represent Roger Varian, while the fifth home, Bated Breath, will be saddled by Roger Charlton.
David Simcock’s classy three-year-old Dream Ahead reverts to sprinting having looked a non-stayer on his seasonal reappearance behind Frankel in the St James’s Palace Stakes.
