Nine races have been set down for Happy Valley on Wednesday night with good depth across the program.

3 Happy Boys (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will spot them a start but if within range, I think he’ll be winning. He ran over 1200m here two weeks ago, settling near last and made up a stack of ground to finish third. Just needs to settle closer and I think he’ll be too good.

5 Concorde Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong this time in and commands respect. Strong first up winner before running second in the race mentioned above. He too got back in the run and was good late. He’ll be strong at the end and is a key chance.

2 Spicy Spangle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been freshened up since Dec 20 when racing down the straight at Sha Tin and failed to fire when down the track. Trialled well since and his best is more than good enough to take this out so don’t dismiss.

11 Harry’s Hero (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has an awful record at Happy Valley but I do think he’s flying and is top seed here. He placed over the mile at Sha Tin last start when off speed and was good late when second. Purton on, in form, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

10 Perfecto Moments (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been freshened up since Dec 10 at this track/distance when on speed and was there to win but couldn’t quite see it through when third. Good racing style…just a question of whether he’s hard fit.

2 Telecom Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since racing over 1400m at Sha Tin. He got back off speed and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was far from disgraced in defeat. Like the rise in trip for him and has a good record here. Definite threat.

5 The Perfect Match (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. He hasn’t raced since Dec 17 here when off speed and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was quite good in defeat. He’ll be strong late…if within range, he can launch over the top.

3 Straight To Glory (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win. He got the suck run in transit in behind the speed before getting clear air and knuckled down with purpose to score. Maps ideally again, he’s around the mark.

1 Hayday (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after racing on Dec 27 down the straight at Sha Tin. He got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just tired late. Better suited here and this race, as a whole, isn’t deep.

3 Super Sixty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He hasn’t raced since Dec 10 at this track/distance when doing too much work from the wide gate and tired late in the piece. Maps much better this time around and strikes a winnable race. Happy to back each way.

5 Bunta Baby (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won the race mentioned above from Dec 10. He gave them a start and a beating, producing a very strong finale from off speed to score. Tick over trial was pretty good and commands respect.

11 Star Performer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth to Bunta Baby in the above race. He got into a decent spot in transit off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Not sure he can turn the tables but runs well regardless.

11 Ace War (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks one of the better bets on the card. He placed three weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and was good late when second. Maps to get a sweet run in transit, Purton on…really keen on his prospects.

1 Celtic Times (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won the race mentioned above from three weeks ago. He got off speed before angling clear and knuckled down strongly late to score. His confidence is up, he can certainly go on with it.

2 The Azure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fifth to Celtic Times in the race mentioned above. He was ridden with more intent this time around and was there to threaten I thought but just whacked. Not sure I could back to win but is a first four threat.

1 Meowth (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good track/distance record and with that in mind, I’m happy to back him each way. He last ran at Sha Tin on New Years when outclassed on paper and was far from disgraced in defeat. Maps to get a sweet run in transit and take holding out.

5 Amazing Kid (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in a purple patch and is right in the mix. Three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, finishing best off speed to score. Harder here but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

2 Flying Wrote (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran a few weeks ago at this track/distance behind Straight To Glory. He seemingly got into a decent spot off speed and was there to threaten but just whacked in the run to the line. Dangerous with his best so I am not dismissing.

8 Prestige Always (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a tick over two weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Sha Tin. He got off speed and didn’t get the best of luck in running in a somewhat forgive run. Better suited at Happy Valley, he’ll be strong late…good each way speck.

6 Perfect General (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, leading throughout and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good racing style, he’ll look the winner for a long way.

3 Romantic Son (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been freshened up since New Years Day at Sha Tin. He got into a decent spot off speed and was there to threaten but just whacked in the run to the line. Maps ideally and moved well in a tick over trial.

6 Money Catcher (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying and is hard to beat after a win over this trip at Sha Tin, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. Tricky draw but hard to knock the way he’s going at present.

1 Jumbo Legend (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t raced since Dec 23 over the mile here. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he was good late in the piece. If within range, he’s certainly dangerous.

2 I Can (Bet Now:  $SP.00) finished just behind Jumbo Legend in the race mentioned above. He got off speed and was never really threatening. Can run an improved race here…a knockout hope at odds.

6 Young Arrow (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps in the last. He ran over this trip on New Years Day at Sha Tin when off speed and just whacked without threatening. Much better suited here, not as much depth, he’ll do me each way.

3 Mighty Commander (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was an emphatic winner two weeks ago here, giving them a start and a beating in an electric effort. Not the best of racing patterns but hard to knock what he did last start.

5 Storming Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got back to near last in the run and was good late without threatening. If within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

NEXT BEST: Race Two Number 11 Harry’s Hero

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 6 Young Arrow
