A nine race card has been set down for Happy Valley on Wednesday night with good depth across the program.

2 Raging Blizzard (Bet Now:  $SP.00) tends to save his best for Happy Valley and returning here, I think he takes beating. Latest run was over 1200m at Sha Tin when off speed and just couldn’t quite get involved. Back to where he races best, he’ll be hard to beat.

3 Copartner Prance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth in the race mentioned above, which was won by Lucky With You. He got off speed and kept chasing in a really good effort in defeat. He flies at the Happy Valley 1200m and gets Ryan Moore. Leading contender.

4 Son Pak Fun (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track in the race mentioned above. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he didn’t make up too bad headway. Small field helps his cause, won’t be far away and can launch late.

I am going to take a chance on 3 Royal Inheritance (Bet Now:  $SP.00), who is unknown at the trip but is racing like he will lap it up. Recent runs have come over the mile at Sha Tin where he has got back to near last in the run but has worked home with real purpose. If the trip is fine, I think he’ll be a leading contender.

7 Good Good (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is also unknown at 2200m but he was a strong winner over 2000m at Sha Tin last start, sitting near the speed and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. Good test here, but think he can measure up.

1 Joyful Prosperity (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a big improver and can bounce back hard. He put together a sequence of wins before a run over 2000m at Sha Tin where he was too bad to be true when down the track. Trialled since and looked much better so off prior efforts, he can bounce back.

3 Soleil Fighter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a near good thing to my eye. He ran over this track/distance last Wednesday night when back in the run but you really had to like the way he closed his race off in defeat when a close up third. Ryan Moore on, can settle closer, I think good luck beating him.

1 Telecom Fighters (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a very strong kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through, nabbed late. Front end control, he’ll run a positive race.

6 Aeris Nova (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has his first look at Happy Valley but does being the A1 form I say given his last run, which was over 1400m at Sha Tin, he bumped into Light Years Charm, who I think is Stakes class, so that clearly reads well. In the mix if the mile is okay.

8 Super Sixty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win and I think he gets a great chance here. He ran three weeks ago at this track/distance where he got to near last in the run but rocketed late, just missing out on the win when a narrow second. If he’s within range on the turn, I think he has the finale to overhaul them.

3 Excellent Peers (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth in the race mentioned above. He just got too far out of his ground but I really liked the way he closed his race off in defeat. He has the potential to settle much closer so if that eventuates, I say he is dangerous against these.

9 Regent Glory (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for David Hayes, having not raced since Jan 12 over this trip at Sha Tin. He got off speed and was never really a winning factor. Tick over trial was pretty good and his best is good enough to be more than competitive.

3 Helene Feeling (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat here. I don’t think the race shape was to his liking three weeks ago at this track/distance but he stayed on and was quite good in defeat when third. More genuine tempo this around (hopefully) and he’ll be hard to hold out.

2 Encountered (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to a track/distance he loves. His latest run was over 1800m at Sha Tin where he tried hard and was there to win but just couldn’t quite get there. Back to the mile, back a bit in overall depth, he clearly rates highly.

5 The Golden Scenery (Bet Now:  $SP.00) makes a rare trip to Happy Valley after doing pretty much all of his racing at Sha Tin. He ran over the mile there last time and I didn’t think was too bad in defeat after getting a mile back. He can settle closer, be within range and dangerous at a price.

2 Sight Happy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me. He hasn’t raced for a few weeks since racing at this track/distance when off speed and kept finding the line with purpose when a close up second. Tick over trial was a good piece of work and if within range, he’ll be dnageeous at the end.

5 Club Ace (Bet Now:  $SP.00) did more than enough on debut here before going to Sha Tin for his next two where each time he has been far from disgraced. Returns to Happy Valley and with luck from the gate, he’ll take beating.

9 Ace Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance where he got too far back in the run but made up decent headway late in the piece. If he can settle closer in the run, he has the finale to threaten and a win wouldn’t shock.

4 Sturdy Ruby (Bet Now:  $SP.00) doesn’t have the best of racing patterns but he’s flying and if he can use the inside gate to advantage, he takes beating. Latest run was Jan 22 at this track/distance where he was back near last in the run but worked home with real purpose late in the piece when second to Amazing Award. Tick over trial was good, he’ll be strong late…just needs to settle closer.

8 Good Luck Win (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is sneaky flying and commands respect as a key threat. He comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Jan 22 at this track/distance in a different race to the one mentioned above. He too got out of his ground but finished off strongly late in the piece when third. Tricky draw, but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

3 Prince Alex (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the same race that Good Luck Win contested, won by Amazing Award. He got back off the speed and was never really a factor when down the track. He does have a good track/distance record so I wouldn’t be dismissing him.

1 Bundle Of Charm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done most of his recent racing at Sha Tin so getting to Happy Valley I find interesting but I do think he has one the quality to take this out. Raced two weeks ago at Sha Tin when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Capital Delight. He has run well at Happy Valley before and strikes a winnable race.

6 Gallant Valour (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Jamie Richards and has to be respected. He was a strong track/distance winner from three weeks ago when giving them a start and a beating, finishing best to win and win well. He loves the track/distance and lobs into a beaut spot from the draw.

9 Automated (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very, very interesting runner. Former Aussie galloper that makes his Hong Kong debut off the back of a debut win at Wyong in July where he was quite dynamic and won impressively in a race that has produced five winners. Trial work has been solid enough so watch the market.

7 Heroic Master (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the each way play in the get out. He ran over this track/distance three weeks ago where he got too far out of his ground but I really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Red Elegance when a close up third. If he can use the inside gate, settle closer, he’ll take holding out.

2 Red Elegance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won at the track/distance three weeks ago in a different race to the one mentioned above. He got a 12/10 ride by Bowman from a tricky gate and finished best to score. His confidence is up, he can go on with it.

4 Healthy Healthy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will land near the front and take beating. He ran at Sha Tin on Sunday when near the speed and just couldn’t quite go on with it late in the piece. He has reacted on the back up before and likes racing at Happy Valley.

BEST BET: Race Seven Number 4 Sturdy Ruby

NEXT BEST: Race Three Number 3 Soleil Fighter

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 7 Heroic Master
