Pellicle tops Magic Millions Digital Sale as Guy Mulcaster spends $180,000

Proven black-type producer Pellicle topped the latest Magic Millions Digital Sale after selling for $180,000 to bloodstock agent Guy Mulcaster.

Offered by Baramul Stud as Lot 64, Pellicle is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Divine Madonna and comes from the family of recent elite-level winners Tentyris, Baraqiel and Autumn Angel.

The mare was offered in foal to Darley stallion and champion two-year-old Broadsiding, with her foal due next month.

Pellicle has already demonstrated her ability as a broodmare through Live To Tell, winner of the Group 3 Gimcrack Stakes and Listed Supremacy Stakes in Western Australia.

Among the racehorses offered, five-year-old gelding Point Rocks was purchased by Tom Wolfe for $30,000, while race fillies Scottish Pearl and Acquired Taste sold for $30,000 and $25,000 respectively.

The Forest View Farm Unreserved Dispersal also attracted significant interest, with eight of its 13 yearlings receiving more than 20 bids.

An Ingratiating colt out of Rebel Assault topped the Forest View yearling offering when selling to Fenix Racing for $55,000.

Offered as Lot 44, the colt is a half-brother to Gimcrack Stakes winner Siren Assault.

The latest results took the Forest View Farm dispersal’s combined gross beyond $1.8 million across the past two Magic Millions Digital Sales.
