A share in champion first season sire Ole Kirk will headline the Inglis Digital September (Early) Online Sale, offering breeders rare access to one of the most in-demand young stallions in the country.
Ole Kirk, a dual Group 1-winning son of Written Tycoon, has made a flying start to his stud career, producing four stakes-winning two-year-olds in his debut crop. Among them are Group winners King Kirk and Legacy Bound, while unbeaten colt Ole Dancer is the favourite for Saturday’s Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes at Moonee Valley.
The share guarantees access to the Vinery Stud stallion, who stands for a fee of $99,000 (inc GST) this season, making it an exclusive opportunity for breeders to secure long-term involvement with the rising star sire.
Among the broodmares catalogued in foal to Ole Kirk are Starbook (by Exceed And Excel), a three-quarter sister to Group 1 winner Amber Sky, and Cocktail (by Smart Missile), a half-sister to Group 1 winner Oohood and to Breakfast In Bed, the dam of dual Group 1-winning juvenile and sire King’s Legacy.
In addition, shares will also be available in Widden Victoria’s exciting young sire Southport Tycoon and proven Group 1 producer All Too Hard, ensuring strong interest across the stallion share offerings.
Overall, the September (Early) Sale features 294 lots, including 155 racehorses (79 race fillies), 65 racehorse shares, 47 broodmares, 13 yearlings, six unraced stock, three stallion shares, three two-year-olds and two stallion nominations.
