Coolmore stallion King’s Legacy has continued his strong start at stud, with his first-crop tally of winners now reaching seven after the successful debut of Nothing But Net at Goulburn on Friday.
Trained by Blake Ryan and ridden by Jay Ford, the gelded son of King’s Legacy made an immediate impact in the 1000-metre maiden, getting the better of Farnan-sired colt Farset to score on debut.
Originally purchased for $65,000 from Twin Hills Stud at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Nothing But Net was later picked up by Matthew Sandblom for $30,000 through an Inglis Digital sale.
This latest result adds to the momentum behind King’s Legacy’s first season progeny, with the win coming hot on the heels of Bella Pietra’s dominant performance at Pakenham less than a day earlier.
