The 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, which is now just eight weeks away, will run for a full seven days for the first time due to an unprecedented amount of entries.

A total of 1273 yearlings have been catalogued for Book 1 and Book 2 of the sale, which gets underway on January 12 where the sale will offer the progeny of no less than 117 individual stallions, a record for the sale. That figure includes 24 first season sires.

That list of stallions is headed by Arrowfield’s four-time champion sire Snitzel with 58 entries. Snitzel’s sons Pariah, Russian Revolution, Invader and Jukebox will add special interest as they will be represented by their first yearlings.

Stallions who have more than forty lots engaged are Zoustar, Snitzel, I Am Invincible, Deep Field, Capitalist, Spirit Of Boom. Written Tycoon and Pierro.

On the dam side, yearlings that will be on offer include 23 lots out of Group 1-winning mares, 22 lots out of Group 2 winners, 55 lots out of Group 3 winners and 104 lots out of Listed winners.

The ever changing threat of Covid-19 hopefully will not be a too disruptive force in the way the sale will ultimately play out in terms of people actually being on site, but Magic Millions will be making sure that, whatever that situation is at that time, all possible information will be made available to every prospective buyer so that they can still make informed and well considered decisions.
