Fresh from her maiden Stakes win, Zaszou will chase Group 1 glory in the Tattersall’s Tiara at Eagle Farm this Saturday.
Trained by Phillip Stokes and racing in the Bennett Racing colours, the four-year-old impressed with a powerful inside run to claim the Listed Helen Coughlan Stakes earlier this month.
That was her first start in nearly two months and her fifth career win from 14 starts.
Stokes told racing.com she entered the race underdone but “probably surprised us a little bit,” adding she’s since improved and is “an each-way chance.”
Zaszou beat Tashi in the Helen Coughlan, who then placed in the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes — a key Tattersall’s Tiara lead-up.
Stokes has had Saturday’s 1400m feature in his sights since her fast-finishing run in the Sapphire Stakes in April.
Kyle Wilson-Taylor will ride Zaszou, currently a $10 chance behind $4 favourite Floozie.
