The immediate riding career, and perhaps future riding career of Sydney’s champion apprentice Robbie Dolan is at the cross roads.
He was taken back to hospital when his injured arm began to hurt more than expected and he is still there.
The doctors believe he may well have severe nerve damage.
His agent, Mark Guest, tweeted today that, Unfortunately Robbie Dolan has nerve damage in his arm and will require further treatment and investigation. Thanks for all the kind thoughts.
“Will keep you posted.”
Dolan himself, crest-fallen at this week’s latest turn of events, has not ridden in a race for 5 days.
He said, “My arm has been in extreme pain for a couple weeks and after losing some grip in my hand the doctors kept me in hospital since Monday for lots of scans & treatment.
“I’m not sure on the recovery time but hopefully not too long.
“Thank you for the patience from all trainers.”
We wish Robbie a speedy recovery and hope the doctors find the source of the issue.
