Trainer Kerry Parker has said losing his start galloper and last start Group1 Queensland Derby winner Dark Dream is a kick in the guts.
Dark Dream provided trainer Kerry Parker his first Group 1 win in his 20 year training career in the Queensland Derby a fotnight ago but the relatively small Kembla Grange trainer has now lost his best horse with connections opting to take the horse off him.
Dark Dream has had ten starts for Parker and has not missed a place having won over $500,000 for connections.
When contacted regarding the situation Parker said it felt like a kick in the guts especially because he didn’t know why the horse was taken from him.
Dark Dream is likely to be targeted at Melbourne’s feature staying races.
No trainer has been announced.
In a major surprise to trainer @kjparkerracing … the owners of Dark Dream have decided to take the QLD Derby winner off the Kembla Grange trainer. Kerry Parker says it’s a kick in the guts particularly when you don’t know why.

It’s not clear at this point who will takeover training the rising 4YO Dark Dream. The owners to this point haven’t informed anyone. Dark Dream has been spelling since the QLD Derby win.
