Senior rider Matthew Cahill along with in demand apprentice Ellen Hennessy may not throw a leg over a horse tomorrow even though they are booked on 11 of them between the pair.
Both came down very heavily at Canberra in race 4 on Friday.
Hennessy, whose vital 3kg claim was to be used on 5 horses at Royal Randwick on Saturday including one she won in town on recently named Devil’s Triangle, looks to have suffered concussion.
An hour after the fall she was still suffering from dizziness.
Cahill, who was headed to Wellington’s TAB meeting, is now in hospital.
He was taken to Canberra Hospital complaining of a very sore neck.
One of the horses got straight to its feet and caught the field.
There is no word yet on the state of the other horse that fell.
