Talented Sydney galloper Brandenburg has sadly passed away following an incident in the G1 Winx Stakes on Saturday.
Brandenburg fell in the straight after the horse went amiss at the 200m mark which resulted in the horse having to be humanely euthanised on course.
The incident caused jockey Rachel King to have a heavy fall although luckily she came out of it unscathed and was able to walk back to the jockey room however she was stood down from riding for the remainder of the day.
