Trainer Thomas Carberry is set to unveil exciting two-year-old filly Strictly Business in Saturday’s VOBIS Gold Plate at Flemington.
The filly is a half-sister to stablemate Kicking King and will carry the colours of breeder Martin Falvey, previously worn by Carberry’s retired sprinter, Scuderia.
Unlike her sprinting predecessor, Strictly Business is bred to thrive over longer distances.
She turned heads in a recent jumpout, dominating her rivals with a six-length victory.
Carberry believes Flemington’s expansive track provides the perfect setting for her debut.
“She’s been working well and has jumped out ok since she started,” he told Racing.com.
“There is a maiden in a couple of weeks in Geelong, but obviously with the low amount of entries in a more valuable race at Flemington, you have to have a look.
“She’s qualified for all the bonuses, it will be a great experience for her to be on that track and it will be the same for the rest of them as well.”
