Last weekend a lot of punters did their cash early in the 3YO fillies stakes race when the heavily supported, and much hyped PARLOPHONE (I Am Invincible-Roulettes) bucked at the start.
She clearly did not want to be in the race and after coming out last, she raced with her head up for about 200m and tossed in a buck, which caught the eye of the stewards.
They slapped a racing ban on her straight after the race.
Trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr were told she had to pass a trial before being allowed to race again.
Which was a significant request given this very well bred filly, already a stakes winner, looks to have a big future.
Well, this morning with Jamie Kha in the saddle she did that steward’s trial and was on her best behaviour, jumping away perfectly and running hard to the first turn.
Connections revealed her next start will be at Moonee Valley in the $140,000 Atlantic Jewel Stakes for 3YO fillies over 1200m.
It’s a Listed race on 5 September.
